So, last friendly before the season starts. Fully expect it to be pretty much our starting XI against Derby.
We all know friendlies are not always relative to the competitive season. However, would be good to keep the momentum of pre-season going, a win and see a few get smashed in the onion bag.
3-1 Town - Grant, Pritchard & Mooy

If this is a predictor thread too. I reckon 2-0 Diakhaby and Grant. Hope we hit the ground running. Full of optimism, as always at this point in the season.

Been a great preseason, but today people also need to acknowledge we’re playing a side that finished 6th in the French league, narrowly missing out on the Europa league. This is a different level of competition today. I believe we can win the game, but just saying it is different to the previous friendlies.

Optomistic! Based on the preseason games & training video's there's a positive togetherness & understanding. Match that with the fantastic support we are going to be alright.
Hopefully the transfer business can be concluded & our existing assets remain.

Reckon we go 10 matches unbeaten today (including Wolves and Coventry games).
Draw or narrow win. Montpellier are no mugs despite their poor pre season so far.

Mbenza may force his way in once fully fit If Mooy is going then I'd rather we gave Brown another 90 minutes. I guess it's a good sign if Mooy, Schindler, Kongolo, Hogg are all playing today. Granted things could happen late in the window but time is running out |

Given montpellier are a decent side, it's reasonable to expect we may go a goal or two down. It would be nice to see town not let their heads drop and continue to compete.

Last friendly I went to I think was under Jackso - Bilbao if I remember correctly, I said I’d never go to one again as it was like watching paint dry.
But, I’m very excited about the season ahead so will pop down and support Jan and the boys today. UTT!

The info about Hogg, Schindler etc was posted by someone who does know his stuff unfortunately and is as reliable as you can be with rumours and town related stuff so sadly I don’t expect to see any of those 3 play today which is a worry for all 3 in varying ways |
