We are just about to find out how magical David Wagner was. It looks like we have managed to keep hold of some key players and on paper we have a stronger squad than when we were promoted last time but are all the other necessary ingredients there? We'll soon see.

What’s the starting XI looking like? Ince & Smith down the right side? Our starting 11 as gone from Aurnoutovic Shaqiri and Bojan to a bunch of mainly free transfers I’ve never heard off. Just hoping they gel but not optimistic Think Smith will start. Not sure about Ince Suppose we’ll all know more in about six weeks |

Got to admit, I, along with everyone remotely associated with football, had you pegged for automatic last year. Not sure what went wrong. but I guess that is the reality and excitement of the Championship.. |

Stoke will likely be playing with a diamond in midfield. Allen, Etobo, Clucas and probably Powell would be first choice according to those I know. Ince may struggle for regular time unless he can become an effective spearhead to the diamond. Vokes and Afobe/Gregory up top. Ryan Woods potentially available.....

Leaving the ground Town fans walking one way, Stoke t'other when I saw someone come bursting out of your lot at full tilt towards me. I thought he was in a hurry for his bus til I realised he was coming straight at me. At the last moment i turned my head away and he headbutted me, instead, behind the ear and ran off back into the crowd. No hard feelings, you, a couple of Toon fans and Nobby the Brighton fan make this place better by coming on and not being knobs which most opposition fans (and some Town) on here do 😉😁 |

As much as a meltdown we are having on here after two dire performances and a less than exciting transfer window, chadders51 and the Stoke forum must be even in more despair as they lose for the second game on the trot!
