We were just coming into it when Elphick tried his bloody circus trick. That’s kicked the confidence out of us.

We’re as awful as ever, luckily the opposition aren’t as good as they were.
I’m not a tactical genius but we should probably mark Lawrence.
Now is when we see if JS has anything about him.

We need to sort the defence out. It's pretty bad so far and that's including the midfield too. They are just letting players run past them or leave them stood in space to receive the ball. Very poor imo How many times did Lawrence pick it up between the midfield and defence!? Pretty much everytime they went forward

Lucky to only be down one. Flo is doing well to get open but I'd love to see him cut inside a bit more. Caused some confusion the one time he did.

Our first touch, our second touch and our passing has been U/17’s standard. From the moment Diakhaby was in on goal and got it caught under his feet until the halftime whistle , we’ve been awful.
We need Kongolo at CB and a proper LB.

The crossing from our full backs would be unacceptable at district league level

Pick the bones out of that one Jan S... massive gaps in the middle we’re making Lawrence look like Messi

Pritchard best player so far. So far he looks like the only footballer we’ve got. Whole defence a shambles yet again, Mooy terrible and Diakhaby can shift but final ball shocking, he could have easily squared the early chance for Pritchard to slot into an open goal.

Bacuna looks nervous, was the same start of last season, needs to get the right mindset and he should come good

Elphick looks woeful, worse than Hudson in his last season. Maybe it's him getting used to the system. I'm sick of his long balls to the Derby centre back already.
Mooy looks as though he's trying to avoid injury prior to a move.
Baccuna is really off it tonight, just like against Montpelier. Bring O'Brien on.

Seems I’ve got my wish, going behind early to a defensive howler then a great strike.Happy to say we haven’t chucked it in just yet,Diakhaby looks dangerous.Pritchard lively enough, goal from Grant. Midfield need to get moving quicker and I think we’re in with a shout to turn it around.

We've seen flashes of the type of football Siewert wants us to play, but we're too open in midfield. Derby are getting at our back four far too easily. We're also not looking after the ball well enough. We need to control the centre of the park better.
If this continues in the same vein I can only see more goals for Derby.

Losing too much possession, and got to get more decent balls to grant. But do look a bit shaky at the back.

Hoggy...Lawrence gets it...turns and runs centrally...OK? Kongolo and Flo....take a breath and look up. If its tight and central one of the centre backs step out. No point holding a line on the edge of your own box. That was pretty awful to be frank. One chance created at home.

It's not one for the purists, but how much more intent is there going forward.
Looking forward to the 2nd half - obviously need to stop Lawrence, he's having a great game tonight, quite surprised to see his overall record is quite middling.

Boy, he was bad.

Based on that first half performance I’d only be worried if Pritchard and Grant left before the transfer window shuts.

Derby look very much one of the teams that will be up there this season. Us, all over the place, if we get anything out of this game I'll be amazed but still in it

Absolute shambles at the back. Bucuna constantly giving ball away, Hogg missing and mooy is a shadow of his former self.

More intent going forwards, but not enough control. Far too many long balls and not keeping hold of possession to build pressure.

He's shite, I've seen enough live championship games to know that. It's been partly us making him look good and it just being one of those nights for him He won't have a half like that again all season

Seems to be huge gap between our defence and midfield... Too often chasing them back as they bypass our midfield

I can see a case for going 3 at the back, sacrifice Flo for Stankovic and sit him in the hole Lawrence is dominating. Pritchard & Diakhaby drop slightly to make a 3151

Kamil Grabara could be heard grumpily singing to himself "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am...stuck in the middle with you". Poor lad!

How many times did Lawrence pick it up between the midfield and defence!? Mentioned it earlier, either someone isn't doing there job or Lawrence was an oversight. They're getting in between the lines at ease. I'm struggling to establish who is playing defensive midfield. It's early days but unimpressed so far. I do worry about Elphick.

O Brien for Bacuna is a good shout as he's been a passenger (penalty aside).
Elphick has had a disastrous start to his Town career but should be experienced enough to put it behind him but the calls for a first choice LB can't be ignored with the deadline just days away - if only to increase our options.
Disappointed that Reece Brown wasn't in the 18 man squad.
We definitely need to up the tempo in the second half but stuggling to see how they will when they look shattered already.

Get your finger out PH and go buy a left full back. It’s bloody obvious to one and all. Schindler and kongolo in the middle,if they’re staying.
