Overall I think the club is in good shape given the relegation we have just had and although we don't know what may happen before the end of august we have probably some of the best young players we have had for a while.
The championship as we all know is tough ie both the two clubs who went down with us lost yesterday but would you bet Barnsley or wigan to be above them at the end of the season?.lets get behind the club I'm sure the majority will and see where it takes us a good start would help but its over 46 games nor four or five.
The club seems to have come together and I wish jan the players and Phill all the best because no one is perfect but Huddersfield Town is a well run club and long may that remain so.

For me it’s now like any season - let’s make a serious judgement after 10 games; time to ‘bed’ in to this league and the new lads to gel. Good mix of teams over the next 10 to see how we will fair....

These things can't be speculated on we will only know after a few games . |

It was the daughters birthday on Friday.
She's been a season ticket holder for at least 3 years but this birthday she got a card from the club on thurday, signed and numbered by most of the players.
She was absolutely made up! Never happened before so I'm treating this as my "sign" that we're gonna have a good season.
After the pain of last season she was abit meh about this but she can't wait now! Small changes, big impacts!

Two of them went up as champions the following season, one finished 13th and one finished 18th (that was Derby after they got 11). |

When we got promoted with Wagner, I had an inkling, or gut feeling if you like on 10- 15 games into that season that promotion was a realistic chance.
The game against Brighton at home was the icing on the cake, what a display that was.
Here's hoping for this season it goes along those lines.

I think its fair to say that the club has managed to lift the spirits of the fans after last season. Whether the players remain mentally scarred or not we will have to wait and see.
What would undo the feel good factor would be to lose one of our star players so late into the window or in the European window.
IMO No effort at all was made by the club to save us from relegation. I want to see every effort made for this season to be a good season. Im not expecting promotion but a finish that sees us in or around the play offs would be just what the doctor ordered.
I think with the fantastic backing from us the fans we have every chance . Lets hope this season we have that little bit of luck and a few fairer refs too!

In relation to the mental side..... Time will tell, but I’m pretty sure we picked up two points from losing positions last season. Both of them came in our last two games of the season. There’s more fight there than people credit the team with.

However...as the saying goes we learn little from history. Are the players batting on about winning on penalties at Wembley as a pointer for this season? It is like H2H stats (head to head). Meaningless....who cares that we beat Rotherham 27 times whilst they have beaten us 7? People trot out stuff like "Town have beaten Millwall the last 9 home games" as though this means they will win again. Since we were relegated the whole shebang has changed. There wont be any collapse like last season...we are at our level. Heads went down for a myriad reasons...not least 20 matches without a win...that wont happen again in a century. |
