Another poor bench last night. Are we going to strengthen in this window? Doeant say much when the players we can bring on to change a game are the likes of quaner and Mbenza.

Koroma - Reece Brown and VLP are no worse.

Koroma - Reece Brown and VLP are no worse. I'm not disputing that I'd rather see them on the bench than quaner, kachunga and mbenza.

Another poor bench last night. Are we going to strengthen in this window? Doeant say much when the players we can bring on to change a game are the likes of quaner and Mbenza. A lot of stuff that I was concerned about pre season has been magnified by yesterday's awful showing, the formation, lack of goals and the lack of options in the squad have not been addressed sufficiently.

I think we’re most in need of a left back. If the system is going to be so advanced and open then the centre halves will need a bit more athleticism than Elphick. Kongolo at centre half would help. A proper attacking left back would help us going forward too.
We could do with a striker but it’s much easier said than done. How do you convince a quality striker to come in and play second fiddle?
In midfield, maybe another option but I like the look of Reece Brown and I was a bit mystified at his absence from last nights squad. While we’re at it, VLP had to be on the bench, he’s a lot better than Quaner.

Our strength in depth looks pretty weak. Who is our 4th centre back for instance? On last nights show I would like it to be Elphick. We could have a very very good first 11 if we get a decent left-back and a replacement for Biling. We then still look light in terms of a replacement for Grant. I thought we still looked to in the transition from Wagner's style to Siewert's style, which is a worry. The first half, for instance, Hogg stayed in front of the back four. The second half when we arguably played better when he dropped and the centre-halves split. Hadj I think is almost what we need at RB, his distribution apart which needs major work on. For me, Kongolo has to play at the back with Schindler and we either give Jayden Brown a go or get a new one in. I would like us to go for some new young talent on permanents such as Ryan Kent who we could develop and sell on for possible profit. We need some REAL investment this week to bulk the squad out for what is a real test of attrition in the Championship otherwise we could suffer. It is Ironic that one team from last night is looking to invest in bringing a previous England Captain in and the other seems to be scratching about for youngsters in the last 12 months of their contracts. I need reminding which of the two has two years of Premier league cash in the bank!

IMO was only a poor bench because we left out Brown, didn't have Mounie in the squad.

Koroma - Reece Brown and VLP are no worse. Either VLP (or Kachunga) should be starting ahead of diabolical-haby who should be on the bench As bad as Kachunga’s miss was (it was awful) that was the position he scored 10+ from in promotion season. He didn’t get that sort of chance / space in the premier league (though I get the point he doesn’t look as sharp)
