Not saying that this made any difference to the result but new season and same old shite from last night's ref
Bacuna and Kongolo were down for at least 4 minutes between them. Then we had 6 subs. So straight away we're at 7 minutes before you even consider the time wasting which started in the 46th minute
The sooner football becomes 2 halves of 30 minutes with the clock stopped whenever the ball is dead the better. It makes it completely fair and every game consistent and not down to the idiot in the middle who makes it up as he goes along

clutching at straws there...if we are still relying on the Wagner strategy of waiting for opponents to tire before 'going for it' in the last 10 minutes...we're doomed. Get the early goals in the bag, then play on the break...

I don't think anyone is clutching at straws with it in regards the result, just questioning why it seems to vary so much. Lets face it, we probably wouldn't have managed to score again had we played until half ten but the fact still remains 4 minutes was too short.

I think we also need to work on our 'winning' of soft free kicks. It's probably the rose tinted specs I'm wearing, but there's not many occasions where I see our players doing it. Flo has form for it of course.
That 'foul' down by the corner flag about 5-10 mins from the end of the game (awarded by the linesman) was an utter joke, but they just seem to compute a theatrical fall as attributable to foul play... It is in some respects, it's called fecking cheating...
On the flip side, the subs seemed a bit more orderly, is it this season where they have to exit the pitch closest to where they're stood & have a max. of 1min to get off the field?
