How could a club competing in the biggest league in the world appoint a manager who’s only senior position was managing in the German 4th tier (a role he was sacked from) and expect him to be up to it? That manager loses practically every game and still keeps his job. We’re then told by our new chairman (who’s only experience is owning a National League club!) that we have no money to sign players. What other club’s supporters would put up with that level of ineptitude? We’ve spent two years in the most financially lucrative league in the world and we have a lower league manager in charge and a third rate ambulance chaser owner who seems to have got the nod because ‘he’s a Town fan’ As supporters surely we want better for our club?

That's quite funny.
I must say even by the standards of the stuff I say a lot of the stuff has been ott on here but let's be honest, you could see last night coming a mile off. I not surprised one iota about what happened last night.
I'm incredulous that some fans thought we would win promotion back with the current squad and additions.

I knew it was a sign of things to come when prematch they placed that large Paddy Power ad over a sprinkler. What a shower!

Might as well close the club.

To be fair to the OP the point about the manager/coach is a very fair question.
The criticism of PH is unfounded, at the moment. He is essentially an administrator and businessman. In this case he needs to make it clear what his definition of success is, to date (other than winning games of football) we don't really know.
The fact is we have had more money available to us than we ever have but our strategy of how it was used seems a little flawed.
The other inescapable fact is no matter where you sit on the spectrum of positivity we were all so delighted that we once again played at the highest level we all hoped we could build and make the club better. We knew, maybe even expected, we would be relegated however we also expected the club would be on a better footing that we appear at the moment i.e. money going out of the door with no real sense of direction or improvement. We all trusted and respected DH, but we all may have hoped (openly or subconsciously) that an investor with bigger pockets would come in and take us to the next level.
At the moment we have a chairman who we know little about, unsure of our financial plan for the next 5 years, what we should expect and a on the field strategy that is not clear but appears to be based on promising individuals reaching their potential with us.
Maybe we, as fans, got ahead of ourselves and expected too much but perhaps we should have expected a little more than we seem to have got at the moment.

Hoyle made loads of mistakes and it cost him but we were in Division 3 and he had enough money to just try again season after season.
This is one time only opportunity, once the parachute money has gone we’re no better off than Wigan, Bradford, Barnsley.
And this once in a lifetime opportunity has been handed to a couple of complete nobodies. If we fail, we will look back at recent decisions with a similar view to selling Stewart.

....and Wagner was much better known/respected than Seawart

Wagner took over when we were near the bottom of the Championship with no money. It was a desperate punt really. It’s a ridiculous to compare that with a who were still in the PL. Hoyle was a multi millionaire taking over a club on its arse. This guy is a financial no mark taking over a solvent, well supported club that I believe is too big for him

....and Wagner was much better known/respected than Seawart How many clubs would keep a manager who has lost so many games and I don’t accept this theory that he had an impossible task when he was appointed. Last night was an inept showing from a manager who is clearly so far out of his depth he is drowning and taking the club with him.
