Shit manager who never stood a chance of achieving success even with a decent squad. He can now claim this season is a ‘transitional phase’ due to loosing key players. He can fuck off. As can PPI Phil with his three windows transition bullshit. Get the Netflix cameras down here, it’s going to be a disaster with these two in charge

What in the world is wrong with some of you? Think before starting a new thread. Type out what you're thinking, then delete it. Jesus christ, it's getting boring.

Is it Village idiot day today? no its transfer deadline day... its getting to the point on here if we dont win tonight Jan will have to go and we are not even playing but it can be an 'opinion' that we would lose anyway so its a loss and a fact! some of the posts have smacked of the worst Leeds and Wendies fans reactions to everything and anything that did not got 100% as they 'wanted it', which is quite embarrasing..

How can any true fan be happy with the situation? I’ve followed Town for 30 years and we’re wasting the momentum we gained by being in the PL in a criminal fashion

I don’t particularly rate JS so far in fact I think he’s been a disaster and must have known the situation he was walking into.He now knows what he’s got to work with providing we don’t sell anyone else in the foreign window, although I think it’s highly likely Kongolo will be sold. His coaching career has been at youth level and to be fair he’s introduced some promising youngsters already and they’ll be more to come. Its his job to improve these players and get them performing in the first team but he needs to start picking up results pretty soon. He’ll have known exactly the budget we have to play with and he’s obviously accepted it or he’d have walked,so it’s now time for him and his coaching team to deliver some positive results. I’m not expecting promotion or even to be challenging, if I’m honest I expected a relegation fight if he can get us somewhere near the top of the bottom half then that will be a success.

Although it makes sense to let Mooy go it would have also made sense to do it earlier in the window and it would also have been handy to have an adequate replacement , wonder if there would have been so many season ticket renewals if everyone had known what was going to happen , our transfer / recruitment had been a disaster for the last 18 months

I actually have some sympathy for him.
He came in last year with us knowing he wanted to play 4-3-3, and gave him a squad with 3 wingers in it in total, with only 1 available for most of the season.
We've then left him short both at the back and in centre mid, whilst now having tons of wingers. We've sold our best 2 mids from under him and not replaced them with anywhere near the same quality.
The guy's on a hiding to nothing really.

Yes but he seems to insist on 4-3-3 even when it doesn't suit the players available, which is bad management.

Play a German lower league right back there, or a kid who has made 1 pro start? It's a joke how we've got to the end of the window without bringing in a left back, having let 2 who played there go.

I agree with the OP. The situation does give Siewart something to point to as the reason for his failure. As does the three window transition.
I can’t see any success under him. Just hope those in power see it too because if he really gets 3 windows it’s going to be a long couple of years.

Signed up just to show my discontent. What a shambles we truly have been. On a plus, Chalobah will be decent and has a half decent pedigree for a young signing - getting relegated with Ipswich.

Do you really think that an experienced German trainer and his assistants have NOT noticed that? Glad that you are smarter than they are, why not contact PH and ask for a job?

You’re not allowed to have an opinion if some else gets offended or doesn’t like your opinion!!!!! 😡 How many times, it's how you put it across and some are sounding like immature spoilt brats and in some cases being highly offensive. There's more than enough to complain about or at least question at the moment without going ott.

With what we've got at the moment I'd go 4231 too, as HuddsTerrier suggests. I'd start with Pritchard at no 10, though I wouldn't play the 2 kick and rush wingers at the same time.
But my point is a bit wider than this - it is that the manager seems to be very inflexibly stuck to his 4-3-3. come what may. The system has shown little sign of success (loads of defeats and just one win) but he shows little sign of varying things -e.g. to cater for particular opponents, to cope with injuries, or during games when his initial approach isn't working.
To keep doing the same thing when it's been shown to be unsuccessful is a sign of ......something not very good. Said somebody.
