I miss him 😢
At a time like this you always knew he had an ace up his sleeve or a masterplan. Right now as fans we have just seen our best player leave, the club bag a load of money and nobody come in.
We now have a chairman who apparently doesnt have much wealth and a club stockpiling money without seemingly reinvesting it. With Hoyle you got the feeling there was a means to an end, with this guy nobody knows what that end is.
These are truly gut wrenching times

Clearly you've only started supporting us in the last few years if you think these are "gut wrenching times".
SMH, some of our fans.

SMH, some of our fans. true, but when we had nowt we had nowt. we had a chance this year, how often do we say that? every fucking year, its just circumstances that change and the amounts of money that some supporters think should be thrown at it.. We threw fuck all relatively speaking at it the last time we were here and that went fairly well.. we chucked a lot at it under Clark and that went tits up.. football finance appears to be built on fuckers with more money than sense, clubs who are 'big enough' to run with debts the size of Mexico's and clubs who's arses must twitch after every defeat because the edge of oblivion is always fucking close.. lets see what we do with the staff we have both on and off the pitch for a wee while and then make huge statements ... those wishing to jump off the cliff so to speak and never return until the 'glory days' return are free to do so.. the 50 plus years I have been watching include many, many less glorious days than average, poor and desperately shit ones.. We 'still' have the chance of a good, great or fucking humungous season as there is 'some' of it left to play, I know its gonna be tough with only 135 points left to play for but chin up ...the new boss did say it could take 3 transfer windows , you never know it might take one possibly two...?

These are truly gut wrenching times Dean still owns 25% (approx £20m?), his mate & trusted accountant (DB) is still balancing the books at our club (possibly part of PH deal?), if PH found the dosh to pay Dean off & bring his own people in then maybe you could start worrying, don't think it's going to happen anytime soon!..........but then again, I could be wrong!!!

Walked away at the right time so he’ll be remembered as the man who got us into the promised land for 2 years and will be immortalised before the massive come back down to earth that is coming quite quickly to Town

What I cannot believe is that DH would leave the club in a position from where we couldn't get better. It goes against pretty much everything else he did for the club.
I hope there's a master plan that we have missed and the club can actually move forward from the position of relative strength.
If we don't, all the effort and money that he invested will have been for nothing other than a great few years we all have appreciated.
If he wanted that money back, which I don't have a problem with, I wish he'd sold to someone and got his cash. What we are left with is something we don't understand (everything previously was transparent) and a bloke who is every bit as concerning as Dean was assuring.
None of us anticipated this situation after having success in the richest league in the world.
I have 2 particular issues with PH;
1 - It feels he has misled us to a degree with his initial comments on what will happen. At best we're confused. With DH you always knew where we stood.
2 - I don't have much faith that he has any idea about football in general. His cast iron faith in Siewert seems to be more than a little blind and this statement "we have goals all over the park" is utterly bizarre. Based on what evidence? Of all the decisions taken the one not to get cover at left back is the most alarming.
Dean Hoyle is a hero, he's one of us. I just hope his last two major decisions in charge don't completely destroy his legacy. Appointing Siewert and agreeing this peculiar deal with PH are what he will be remembered for in the short term. As it is said, in football you are only as good as your last game. This last game is looking like Fulham at home April 17, but that turned out to be ok. Let's hope for a similar outcome, but in truth all we have at the moment is hope.

PH has talked alot about JS and his backing for him. I just see that as a sign of weakness in both of them. If JS is so wonderful, PH should just keep stum and let their actions show on the pitch if they are that good.
