I know Bacunas long list of appearances without a win often gets relayed, but did we ever have a player who has scored more goals without us winning any?!

I know he's got two goals from the spot but in 180 minutes of football the ball has hardly stuck to him once when it's been played up to him
He's not that kind of striker so I'm not blaming him but for a 433 to work you need your striker to hold it up. Either we drop this formation or we need to find a striker who can make it stick (Campbell, Mounie)

But it isn't going to happen under Jan. PH made it clear at the Q&A that Jan is a 433 man and that's how we'll be playing this season So Grant won't be feeding off anyone until Jan is shown the door Chris Hughton keeps it nice and simple with a 442.

I think I'm right in saying that today is the first time we have earned any points from a match in which Grant has scored.

You could argue he's playing slightly higher than the man he's replaced but Bacuna was getting forward plenty on Monday night before going off and that was still 433

Oh finally some of you waken up
Grant’s all round game is not near that of Mounie’s
He’s a poacher and between them they have a good mix
Grant was over rated last season after 2 at West Ham. Overall did fine. Did as well as (edit - that’s unfair. He did better than) we could have expected for a player stepping up from league 1
You all loved him him as he wasn’t Mounie
He’s a striker who is too good for league 1 and who will come good in the Championship - good attitude too
Facts says he scored 2 in 2 but all round not in the game, out muscled
Some of you think he will score 25 this season - goodness me

Grant offered more to the team last season in half the time. think most fans could see who was more important. would take a poacher who scores goals every day of the week, the rest of the teaem needs to adapt

Interesting that Karlan has 3 from 3 and so does Lyle Taylor, Grant’s former strike partner at Charlton. A couple of lads spurring each other on.

So we need to stop Grant scoring....might then win a few.....:-)

I've said this before, but when I started watching us, we always had a lethal goal scorer......yet were still rubbish. Maskell, Shearer and Roberts - all scoring regularly and the top of the charts whilst we were generally shit.

Karlan Grant, who has scored each of Huddersfield's three league goals this season, has netted seven times for the Terriers in league matches since his debut in January 2019; in that time, no other Huddersfield player has managed to score more than one league goal. Taken from BBC. I know there are some shocking stats from the last year or so but this is pathetic really.

Just watched the interview with Grant, hadn't really noticed until now.. How much has he bulked up since joining us!
Hope this isn't us changing his game though, resulting in him losing his pace. He didn't seem overly keen when asked about being played as a lone striker.

Its a weird one. His all round play has been so poor this season, he's looked so off the pace compared to when he was running at premier league defenders. I remember him saying in pre-season that he wasn't as sharp as he would like, maybe thats still the case because it looks that way. But he's definitely more of a Rhodes stick it in the net striker. If only we actually created chances.

I remember a Charlton fan coming on and saying he is more comfortable playing in a pair and that's what they should do 5-2-1-2 with wing backs and Pritchard, O'Brian or Chalobahplaying in the hole.
