Only Germany shut according to BBC, Spain, France etc go on until at least 11.00. Still time for MBenza and Diakhaby to go back to where they came from. Leaving us with the German chuckle brothers for out wide and my season card to go into a drawer 🤣 Fucking hell you've endured John Kelly and Kevin Lampost get a grip

Could it be that Schindler cares too much, so is frightened of making mistakes, thus making him nervous and actually making mistakes. If so, this is a character flaw which can only be cured by a winning streak. Same could be said of Hogg. Possibly not enjoying the added responsibility of the captaincy which should never have been given to him, decisions like that should have had the powers that be concerned long before the end of last season but they chose to do nothing and continue to back their man. New manager may change it again I guess. Very good point. I agree too. Something is not right for him. He’s too good a player to be making so many mistakes.

I’m not too fussed on VLP leaving - can see both sides
What I don’t get is the timeline
So the club are saying an offer came in midgame on Saturday. Take the middle point so 345 so that means terms were agreed by the player and a medical passed (assume this involves a flight to Serbia and also no idea how you physically do a medical a couple of hours after you’d played a game) all I’ve the space of about 7.5 hours (assuming vlp jumped in a taxi within 10 mins of getting subbed at kenilworth road) as the deal was announced at midnight
Sounds very very rapid to me

He’s not been great but we’re now playing against terrible teams, it’s a million miles from the Premier League. I hope the new manager can get him onside cause he should literally be head a shoulders better than the centre halves we’re playing against.

Red Star are known as Crvena Zvezda. Weird I know Not really as other languages exist apart from english. Zvezda means star will leave the rest up to you. I’m explaining to a bloke that didn’t know who they were in the champions league. The weird I know was a leg pull but fuck me everyone’s serious in this seasons shit storm. I’ll sign off anyway. Ciao

I’ve just been on the Red Star forum, “Down at the Rajko Mitić“ to see if they were happy with buying Raj. I gave them my honest opinion of the lad - “on će te povesti napred u polje” Which is as close as Google translate could do with “he’ll get you up the field”👍

Well he has gone to Red Star... What a disgrace.... Buy the worsed wingers I have ever seen after trying for one season..... and get rid of a skillful talented player...
The club is in disarray...

Could it not be that the club is trying to get rid of a"skillful talented player" who has produced almost literally nothing, for at least two years, had "problems" with management at every club he was at, starting with Wolves, and whose main contribution, as far as I can see, was to produce disruptive disrespectful social media comments? He only wrote "back where I belong" when Middlesboro got rid of him without playing him, and no-one else came in for him. Good riddance and another big (by most standards) wage got rid of.,(dons tin hat) Well done Phil. YOU haven't created this mess...

Why are Kongolo and Schindler still here? They must have really shit agents. I don’t really get the Schindler position. He must be value to someone at around £5m surely, even as a 29 year old? He’s joined us a no name low level player and he’s now got credible Championship and Premier League experience who despite results has performed consistently well and demonstrated enough that he’d likely slot comfortably into a much better team. But Kongolo is paid and valued far more than he’s really worth on technical and physical merit, so no massive surprise that offers haven’t come in, I guess his market value of around £10-£13m doesn’t stack up as a value proposition for us based on what we have to (still) pay out. Kongolo is good, but that we paid considerably more than he’s really worth is the hamstringing fact that contributes to this extended and painful transition period.

How can we say they’re at their normal or they’re not able to “over achieve” when between the pair they’ve had one start and 5 sub appearances so far this season? They could both easily be up their as the most influential players this season dependent on who comes in to manage what we’re left with, far too early to write off players who have proven they’ve got what it takes at this level (especially when the alternative is to put our hopes on players who haven’t proven they’ve got what it takes at this level or in some cases at any level).

I wasn't particularly impressed with either of them 3 years ago and they've both got worse since That’s certainly your prerogative, although I find it difficult to understand how you failed to be impressed by the teams top scorer in a promotion season (especially a player who wasn’t usually playing as an actual striker), and slightly less difficult to understand why you couldn’t be impressed at Collins ability to contribute to key moments effectively. Collin has perhaps the coolest head in our squad in terms of liookimg up and picking out an intelligent pass inside the attacking box, although his technical ability doesn’t always deliver. How you know they’ve got worse I don’t really know. They’ve barely played, and when they hade it’s been in amongst a disorganised group of individuals, half of whom seemingly don’t want to be here. I don’t think it’s fair to comparatively judge anyone on this seasons performances to date, especially two players who haven’t started more than 1 game between them.

If I were VLP, I would have done the same. Contributed in a season to get promoted to the PL, never got a chance, frozen out and loaned out. The club clearly gave the impression they no longer wanted him and he started looking elsewhere.
