He does have an ability to look like he is running fast when actually running very slowly. Apart from that he has done absolutely bugger all for 2 and a half years.

We were bloody rubbish tonight created nothing until last 15 when VLP came on nearly changed the game he scared the living daylights out of their fullback. How this guy isn’t starting every week is a joke and if JS carry’s on leaving him out then for me he needs to leave quickly.

My thoughts too. VLP can be an idiot but he needs guiding by a credible and experienced manager not sidelining, he has great potential and even Wagner couldn’t realise it properly.

I can see Vlp, Grant, Prichard all doing a lot better under a new manager. We need a coach who the players relate to and respect and understand.

VLP's decent performance is probably making it difficult for the club. They need to get rid of at least one winger and it seems he's maybe the only one that there's any interest in from overseas. Jan will get dogs abuse if he goes and we're left playing Mbenza etc.

Without trawling through the 6 pages - Oggy said last night that VLP was looking quite “thick set” at the moment and he and Ian Dunn were having a bit of a laugh about it. Reckon he’s not fit then. If he’s not fit he’s not putting it in, in training. Hence doesn’t deserve his place in the team.

Especially after Lincoln game vlp did more in 15 mins than mbenza did all game.
Got the crowd excited and out of seats.
Like him or not he is the best winger at the club which just shows up our recruitment policy and the people behind it.

If true, doesn't it say more that an overweight, half arsed VLP is still our best winger.

Deserves to at least be on the bench after the cameo against Lincoln. Made a lot happen in 10-15 minutes.

This isn’t even a debate anymore. He’s the best winger at the club, has been since he arrived. If he’s not going to get picked someone needs to come out and tell us what he’s done wrong.

And not some bullshit about not playing last season.

My opinion is that Jan is only 36, not an issue when you’re managing kids desperate for a break and to play in the first team. But he must be intimidated by players who have achieved so much more than he has in football and doesn’t know how to deal with them.

He wants model pros like Schindler, Hogg, Elphick or young kids. Not players who drive round in baseball hats and blacked out windows.
