Can see it now. VLP Grant and Pritchard play well and give us a lead with 15 mins to go then Jan bring Mbenza and Quaner on for 2 of them and a quick fire Mitrovic double kills us.

This isn’t even a debate anymore. He’s the best winger at the club, has been since he arrived. If he’s not going to get picked someone needs to come out and tell us what he’s done wrong. And not some bullshit about not playing last season. My opinion is that Jan is only 36, not an issue when you’re managing kids desperate for a break and to play in the first team. But he must be intimidated by players who have achieved so much more than he has in football and doesn’t know how to deal with them. He wants model pros like Schindler, Hogg, Elphick or young kids. Not players who drive round in baseball hats and blacked out windows. Or players who get pi****d off when they don’t get picked even though they know that inferior players are in the team!

Like when Quaner came on away at Wednesday in the playoffs? Super Col made much more of his time away on loan than VLP did last season.

Exactly, not surprising he got pissed off last season frozen out by 2 inferior wingers who were probably earning a lot more than him, maybe he realised that their shitness was also the reason he would never get a game as they'd forced Wagner to change to 5 at the back. I get the impression Jan and the club have decided they want to cash in on Rajiv, after all they have all the non league gems the club bought in the closed season and Diakbeza who will of course "tear the championship a new one". Maybe they've just mysteriously realised that his contract is running out. Maybe Jan falling out with players has suited the club really well as it's assisted with the fire sale which seems to have been planned since the relegation was pretty much nailed on and/or takeover plan hatched. Not many people asked questions as to why a team spirit which was probably one of the best in the PL suddenly turned so bad that a wholesale clear out would be needed over 3 windows. I suspect it was always much more about balancing the books than bad apples in the squad. They obviously see Rajiv and Mounie as saleable assets which can be dispensed with. Maybe another amazing out of this world offer will come in from a European club (or a loan deal with a small fee which gets wages of the books).

Vlp has become a hero by absence . He's ok but let's not get carried away Basically we're £25M in and he's still by far the best winger on the books.

Look at any club in the country, there are many players on all of their books who can be labelled "disappointments" The trick is trying to have as few as possible. It was evident by Xmas that we had a poor summer transfer window. But I really don't think it's healthy to dwell on it any further. Mbenza and Diakhaby both have attributes that lead me to think they will have careers as good (or bad ) as vlp. I just hope all three won't dwell on what might have been when their careers are over. The problem is these days you become a multi millionaire for being bang average. So I doubt it will troublen them

Yes it was but I was hoping this season would be a clean slate, according to his social media he was raring to go, that was then shortly followed by a hint he'd been stabbed in the back, since then he's barely featured despite being MUCH better than any of our other options. Seems to me he has been told he isn't wanted and the club are trying to cash in, whether that's the coaches decision or its about money is open to debate.

Vlp has become a hero by absence . He's ok but let's not get carried away More of a reflection of how poor the other players have been than VLP’s skills I suspect, but I’m a fan of his. Can get us into front foot with ball at his feet. He’s a much more accomplished player than diabenz.

Ultimately it's all about getting a quality ball in that beats their defenders and is appropriate to whoever happens to be in the box. We have been lacking that on a consistant basis since before Wagner left.VLP has wasted many opportunities in the past as have Mbenza and Diakhaby more recently. If VLP had a great run out on Tues that's good news but as Ted says lets not go OTT.

Seems a spell out of the team and suddenly no end product RVLP is going to kick-start our resurrection by suddenly firing in the goals and assists...... might be a few disappointed despite his ability to carry the ball up field, he isnt suddenly going to add teeth to our toothless attack.

You missed his perfect cross, with his weaker foot, straight onto Mounies head on Tuesday. Unfortunately he headed it wide

He can at least beat a man, retain possession for longer than 2 seconds, pass to a team mate and track runners, oh and he knows where to stand. That makes him head and shoulders above Diakbenza. Maybe if there is anyone in the box tonight his crosses may actually go to one of our men too. He'll probably be on the bench anyway or in Turkey.

He came on Tuesday and really made a difference. They put three on him he still got three decent crosses in. Must play against Fulham...

Immediately looked a different level to all the other town players on the night ( keeper aside ) Which to be honest isn;t saying much. Its bizarre Mbenza has been ahead of him in the pecking order. Quaner and Kachunga too. Diakhaby looks to have something about him, but even so VLP seems the more likely to actually effect the game in our favour of the two.

Criminal VLP hasn't been involved thus far, Tuesday showed he is what we've been crying out for.
Suspect Jan won't select him again however.

Absolutely mental to only give him 5 minutes after how good he was the other night
Almost as mental as not going 2 up top but instead sticking Grant out wide. In the 94th minute the ball went in the box and Grant was 40 yards away from goal. Fecking ridiculous
