Yesterday was my third visit there and I have to say, I'm struggling to think of a ground (of those that I've been to) that I hate more.
Vile, outdated ground in grim surroundings, looks like it was built by the Council on a budget of about £3.50, and that concourse in the upper tier, what the fuck is that?! Surely it's in breach of some health and safety regs? If there was a fire in there then everyone would be totally fucked.

QPR likewise. Brentford’s last season at Griffin Park. One last chance to go to an iconic old ground. |

And why the chuff don’t they let you exit the same way as you go in. Took ages to get out of the single exit to then have to walk all the way back round the ground. It’s not the 1980s. |

Dewsburyborn and I were sat with home fans down the side. Great view, but no legroom at all. The concourse behind the stand must have broken some health and safety rule, with the number of people milling about. On the plus side, we were able to take the direct route to the station afterwards.

I've always liked Loftus Road, it's cramped compact and on top of the players, not many grounds left like that but I do agree the concourses are terrible and so cramped I'm not sure how they get a safety certificate for it.

My first visit yesterday and I quite liked it, small and compact of which there arent many similar these days.
Not good for the atmosphere from the away fans point of view as you cant here what the upper stand are singing.
I thought their fans were rubbish, barely heard anything from them the when game.

I like most of QPR and have probably been a dozen times. However, for some of the older fans unable to stand all game it must have been a complete waste of money. If you don't stand you cannot see all the goal mouth or touchline. The lady in front of me who I guess was in her late 70's must have seen 15 mins of the game. As for the stewards! Everytime I went to the concourse they asked to see my ticket to get back to my seat and at the end of the game, how difficult would it have been to have a steward at the bottom of the steps saying turn right for exit. Hundreds walked the full length of the concourse to where we came into the ground only to be told the exit was at the other end!

Another of these "converted" all seater stadiums where you need to stand if you want to see the goal line at the away end. Its like having a cinema where half the screen is covered up!

As soon as they move these clubs will lose their identity and soul.

I do love the old grounds but money means to move on you have to move on.
At least some of us had the experience of these grounds before many became pretty uniform. I liked Burton the other year and always liked Brentford and Fulham, they are still there for now.
The idea of getting pissed through is no longer appealing ☔

It was my 2nd visit there on Saturday, i don't mind the place. It is swings and roundabouts really, the old grounds remind me of our own Leeds Rd ground and bring back happy memories, also i find the old grounds create the better atmosphere, it may be the tin cladding and being generally closer to pitches. However the new grounds are better for facilities and health and safety, but as away fans you tend to be put somewhere away from the action, rarely behind a goal.
