When is it again Phil?!

He can’t wait for the next Q&A. He needs to act now. Admit he’s made mistakes over the summer, end the ludicrous Jan experiment. Bring a recognised head coach in, and make a public pledge that money will be made available for genuine Championship quality signings. The first few months of his tenure have been an absolute PR disaster

We may be only three games into this season but we can all see that the current set up isn't working. Actually, it is barely functioning. He was facing an optimistic and forgiving audience pre-season. Now....

Said he spoke with the chairman and they were "on the same page " , then to all intents and purposes stabbed him in the back. Personally I'd be surprised if he's still here tonight

On the field we look shot. Of course all fingers point to the manager as he is responsible for our plan/tactics/selection, or glaring lack of. The board have totally shafted him, it is as if he is making a point of showing how weak we are in depth and quality by purposefully making us look dogshit. Friday night will probably be his last game in charge unless he gives his head a big shake and plays a formation that may look like scoring and also do what Lincoln did last night, have at least one player in the box when we even threaten to attack.

Over various threads some people are talking as if everything is down to PH (and Jan), so we need DH to ride back in on his white horse.
As much, as PH may have a demeanor that some don't like and has been a tad careless in what he has said, there's absolutely no way he should be getting the element of blame and vitriol he is, at least at this moment in time.
- PH was not involved whilst a number of off the pitch employees have been and gone.
- he did not recruit Jan, Winter or any of the existing incumbents, other than two who are brand new.
- he was not involved in the transfer windows where we signed Mbenza, Dhiakhaby, etc.
- DH approached PH; PH hasn't barged in with an aggressive takeover.
I am not suggesting he is an ideal owner, condoning the lack of any solid signings this summer and I certainly am not suggesting things are good; they aren't, rather I'm just baffled at how stupid a few folk are who carry on as if everything only went wrong when he came in.
As for stepping aside DH has already stated he's not got it in him now and nor was he able to find a backer other than the US consortium who wanted him to carry on running the club.
He does need to break the silence though and set realistic expectations.
Edit: when I thought Jan was going last night, I was relieved, so think I know where I stand on that.

Zanka gone replaced by who? Please tell me what players, given our top 5 Championship budget, have come in place of these players? I am trying to be positive Chips, I really am. Last night showed that the guys who we need to step up should we get injuries/suspensions are possibly average at best and have a lot of work to do. A lot. I personally think it is unfair to point the single finger at the manager when it is clear, yet again, our transfer business has not been the greatest.

Personally I'd be surprised if he's still here tonight Think all he was really saying was that starting XI was for the future but they have to get real match experience somewhere and both he and Phil were prepared to sacrifice the League Cup to get them game time collectively. Same will no doubt happen with the FA Cup (whoever is in charge). They aren’t good enough to all be played together against a winning team...in the meantime they’ll probably get occasional game time in the Championship alongside rhe established players to continue pulling them along and hopefully a couple will stick. It’s no surprise, the policy for a long time has been to bring in occasional known/experience like Elphick / Campbell etc, but largely bring in “potential”, get lucky with one or two of those per ten signings and it’s good value.

Beneath the first team it’s undoubtedly weak in areas (eg defence but not attack) however our first 11 still should be a match for any team in the championship

There won't be one, too many difficult questions to answer. Phil was asking for the difficult questions at the last meeting, where were they? The last Q&A was a farce. It was like being put on trail before you’ve committed a crime. No one really knew what to ask because the transfer window was still open, we had all our best players, and a football hadn’t been kicked in a meaningful game.

With still 20 days to the Euro transfer deadline the possibility of 2 or 3 players leaving with no replacements coming in looks likely, together with a new manager. I think then the board should come clean & start giving the fans some facts & figures instead of the usual 'undisclosed' shite.......otherwise speculation will just continue to fester!

I think we will probably need to endure a bit more pain and hurt before things get better. When clubs get bloated and start misfiring, it can take seasons to sort out. Loads of examples of this.
We have been getting the fundamentals wrong for a while now and we may need to hit rock bottom before we can turn our oil tanker around. I just hope our rock bottom isn't like Bradford or Bolton.

He stood there arms out wide basically saying, "come on where are yer, i expected much more than this".

Lincoln made 5 changes, we can’t accept that our second string are not good enough to beat them at home.

We had a team out last night that should have done better ... mooy or no mooy. No excuses WHY should that team have done any better? We were playing the League 2 champions, and only about 3 or 4 of our starting XI have played at a higher level than that (and probably not as a “star” player at that level). It was a poor team compared to the opposition, that we didn’t lose by a bigger scoreline is the surprise, and by the sounds of it (I gave up attending cup games some years ago because the club stopped competing in them), that was largely down to Schofield (who has only played for a rubbish League 2 team), and the early evidence therefore is that Jan is justified in making him the number 2.

Chairman - CEO - Head of Recruitment and Manager - all appear to be working well outside of their comfort zone. We need the new Director of Football to come in and initiate a clean sweep.

Lol Bacuna is worth more than that Lincoln team (weakened by 5 changes ) . Sometimes I'm not sure which planet you are on.. Personally I'm not arsed about the league cup. For me its the manner of our first three performances . All have been poor. I would have walked away unhappy last Monday even if we had scored two injury time goals cos we were garbage. A pre season which started in January . Going into a season with a championship squad which cost far more than any we've ever had . And we produce THAT. We were barely better against QPR and last night , full team or not its indicative that this experiment isn't going to work in a month of Sunday's.

I take it you haven't been reading the news recently.? Yes I have and he comes in next week. And, as I said, he needs to at least sort out the recruitment and player management side (or just do a clean sweep and bring in a recruitment manager that can do the required job and a new CEO that can sort out the mess we are in at the moment).
