who know whats going to happen in future.i think he deserves a bit off time to turn it round Based on what ? what have you seen in the last 6 months which leads you to that conclusion ? Just the fact he is here? He's had time to at least set out a method of playing, he's absolutely useless

What I dont get is that people wanting us to lose means they have a personal issue with Jan. If we win against the best side in the division then why would people be disappointed? I personally think that he should not have seen the start of the season but if he did start producing the goods then I would be ecstatic. Every one would im sure. Its not personal. All the morons giving him personal abuse are just that .. you can tell in his press conferences he is going through a really shite time . As a human being I have great sympathy for the guy . As I said the other day, if I was getting this much hammer for doing my job, I'd quit. It's ridiculous to be honest. I heard some Seiwert out chants at the Lincoln game in the Riverside Upper.

really?we will see and what a pathetic thread but it does sum up the mentality of some on here.Grow up I have to take you to task here Positive. If losing one football match leads to the long term betterment of the club then so be it . If you believe in your heart of hearts this is the man for the job then I'm questioning your credentials. Years from now we will be looking back on this episode and wincing all I am saying he need a fair crack of the whip. I believe he has a lot of talent but I accept people have different views we all want whats best but I never want to lose a game to try and have to make a decision. lets hope for a decent show whatever the result.

[/quote Why do you think he has a lot of talent ? I'm wanting someone to quantify what his strengths and attributes are but no one appears to be able to say . It's almost like " he must be good because we appointed him in the first place " .. people make mistakes .. it makes you human .. it's not admitting mistakes which is the reprehensible bit

So where's your evidence that JS has talent? Not seen any sight of talent in 8 months! He's on schedule to take us into Division 1. We need to get rid PDQ!

I want Jan to succeed, just as i’d want anybody managing Town to succeed.
I don’t dislike Jan at all, to me he comes across as a nice confident bloke. It’s just a matter of whether he’s good enough, the evidence so far suggests not, but i’d love for him to make a success of it yet.
I certainly don’t want to lose Friday to get rid, that’s just ludicrous.

I can't put into words how ridiculous this thread is (but not surprising), so I'll just say it again. Fuck off. Wanting your own team to lose. Fuck off. If that's your attitude fuck off from the ground tomorrow and let us support the team. Embarrassing.

Sneak a spawny win and its a stay of execution. I want us to win every game as I love my team, but I hope we get fucking mullered 5-1 cos he needs to go and we need to start again with someone who knows what day it is

Is it fuck worth losing!
My faith in JS is rapidly waning & I would have no problem if he walked out today - but for as long as he is HTFC manager I live in hope that JS will turn it around. I want him to prove me wrong. Beating probably the best side in the division would be a pretty good indication that there's hope.
Why the fuck would anyone want their own club's manager to fail?

I can handle it being 52 if it means we get a new manager in (Hughton hopefully)

Actually, fuck it. Yeah, I hope we lose. Because my hatred for a guy who is doing his level best (so far unsuccessfully) to bring success to this club is greater than my love for HTFC.
I hope we go bust so we can blame it on Jan Siewert.
MOT.
(aka get fucked)

It is a daft thread, but no dafter than the dozens of other threads on the same subject.
Even if genuine & we do win tomorrow, does that mean his head's still on the block for the next game. It probably is I expect, so what's the break point where the guillotine hanging over his head gets dismantled.
In reality it's just like being given a final warning at work, just plays out very publicly though...

Never want Town to lose, ever. Its dirty, like betting against them. So it's a no from me. Meet me tomorrow night and give me 20 notes and I'll match it and we'll back Fulham, make ourselves a tidy profit. Never! We've been over this, how can you "support" Huddersfield Town and bet against them?? It's just wrong! No problem meeting up though

I want that to be given a proper chance to work. That's about it.

If you've been given a final warning at work then (unless you've done something incredibly stupid & got off lightly) it's only a matter of time before you're sacked regardless of how well you do your job. If JS gets us a win tomorrow and that starts a winning streak, he'll keep his job. A win tomorrow (or even just a decent performance) doesn't take the heat off, but it would ease the pressure.

We’re going through a cut back phase what on earth makes you think that he’d want to manage us? I’m not even sure if I’d want him either to be honest, we need to get back to our identity that we set. The strangest thing for me since Wagner left was that we didn’t go for the continuation it was all about how Jans his own man and has his own ideas, if he is to leave giving it to Hudson/ Whitehead might not be the worst idea at least for a few games.

But tbh that is what I have been pinning my hopes on. Replacing him now means throwing away all that preparation. That potentially massive advantage that we have of being able to have 15 free hits against PL quality opposition with something to play for IN ADDITION TO the actual pre-season that we've had. By now, he should know how he wants us to play, and should have had ample opportunity to communicate that to the players. We should have hit the ground running this season. If he wasn't treating his PL games like an extended pre-season, then I would have hoped for better performances & results than we had. We're still only 2/3* games into the season & every manager is allowed a few shockers (in our promotion season, Bristol C away, both games v Fulham....or that spell in November). (*depending on whether you count the Lincoln game - I do). If after 6 games we still aren't at the races then it'll be pretty difficult to make an argument that he just needs more time. 6 shit games in a row after a 7 month preseason is beyond just mere bad luck.
