Phil and Dean said we weren’t going to appoint a DOF immediately because this was the most important transfer window in the club’s history and they wanted to handle it to ensure it was a success.

Ahem... "This process [the takeover] has been going on for months and I've been kept abreast of everything that's been going on. I knew what was happening with David [Wagner] and Dean [Hoyle] involved me in the thought process around Jan Siewert. Dean made me aware of Jan and the fact that the club had met with him some time ago and he was the next guy. I did my own research into Jan, and everything throughout that process was shared with me. There was nothing that I didn't like about Jan: as a person, his style of football, the way he comes across, the way that he manages, and he's definitely my guy. We get on great, our thought processes are very very similar, and it was just a no-brainer. There was nothing within that appointment that concerned me. "Seeing him out on the training pitch only reinforces that. He's respected, the players listen to him, they take on board what he's saying and he's really good with the players. He doesn't take any messing but he does it the right way. He's a strong character and that's what this football club needs. Contrary to popular opinion, the way that I see the group of players is that they're behind him completely, and I absolutely 100% am. He's going to be a very very good manager for this football club" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Probably harsh to judge as i've never met the fella, but when I watch his interviews my bullshit detector goes well into red |

Apparently today he’s said 5 more players are desperate to leave I don’t know why he’s so keen to publicise things like this. It’s only going to turn these players further against the club and affect their performances. He should keep his mouth shut. Hopefully it’s just lack of respect for the manager and a new man will bring these players back on side. Or maybe the fans can actually back a chairman who’s been in charge officially for what? 2 months and realise it’s the players he inherited and the dogshit recruitment policy from previous management which might be the problem. |

Out of interest with his comments about Jan being his man and all that, is he going to explain why he seemingly didnt invest any of the 20+ million to let Jan bring players in? I would rather him give answers to questions like that, rather than needing to know 5 players dont want to be here and are desperate to leave. Why dont we name them and hang them out to dry until we have no-one left that wants to come here. I honestly dont know what decent manager would want to come and work here right now tbh. People who are wanting someone like Houghton need to lower their expectations, because they wont want to come.

Apparently he was involved in the thought process of recruiting Siewert back in January. If this is the case then he might have been well advised to flag up the DOF situation during the takeover. He can't have it all ways. Either he was involved or he wasn't. |

The way it comes across is that he's more interested in everyone knowing what a thankless task he has and how 'his man' has been screwed over by the players than actually acting in a manner which would help the situation. Plus the worse he makes it sound, the more he'll be able to big himself up if the situation does get turned around. I've given up trying to fight my first impressions of the guy now if I'm honest. |

I agree that we need to back him because I think we (the fanbase) are in danger of becoming a big part of the problem. However, he really needs to get a grip of things and quickly. The club seems to be stalling and getting things wrong. Even tonight's sacking was handled poorly. Somebody from our club should have took the opportunity of using Sky's presence to explain the decision and tell us, the fans, what is actually going on. It reeks of panic and reactive management. I don't have a fucking clue what is happening any more. |

I put my two pennorth in on here when I saw his stupid initial first interview in the stupid PH Town shirt.-total blagger so far and still is surrendered by big doubts about his financial muscle and credibility.It all seems so strange to me and very sad.....Dean has to take some stick on this but given how ill he was and how much he has done for this club I find it hard to criticise him The choice of the next manager given the potential in the squad truly is the most defining moment for the clubs next few years .

No comparison. Dean takes over when we’re desperate. Couldn’t get much lower. PH takes over after an incredible few years which had started seriously coming off the rails behind the scenes. More so than any of us realised. Oh and PH was Deans choice. And. Dean still has 25%. Yet it’s all PH’s fault after 2 months. |

Have a few new seats and a tarted up bar to show for £2m apparently. Lots of comings and going a on the personnel front as well both on and off the field. What has Dean done and why? He’s pimped our club out to a mortgage salesman. Dean comeback and sort it properly you put too much time and energy, let alone cash to sit back and watch this debacle. We won something though...fastest finger of any league club this season. 3 league games .
