We are all missing the big issues here....
Who has Kidnapped the Bacuna from last season, what have they done with him and who the hell is the guy with the funny hairstyle who can barely pass the ball?
I think we need to know!

A very odd young man on the pitch?
Periods of mooching followed by fits of chasing about and trying to kick anything that moves.
Arguing with himself and weird reactions to losing the ball whilst making the wrong decisions time after time?
As they say in the deep South "that boy ain't right'?

His brother can pass a ball. Have they been swapped over the summer, and we have the "wrong" one now?

Seems the archetypal confidence player. Last year he came into the side and had plenty. Not everything he tried came off by any stretch but enough did to keep his belief in himself high. Now hes off form, not much is coming off for him and hes very quickly gone downhill to utter liability levels. Needs taking out of the 1st team for a bit and hopefully a change in manager can get him believing in himself again.

Unfortunately when I think of Bacuna I can only recall a superb goal for Stoke and a brilliant assist for Fulham.

He was thinking he was clearing upfield and miss kicked it. Do you think he did it on purpose?! The embarrassing thing was the crowd reaction. Hes far too slack . There is a player in there but .... And the stick Phil Bill used to get...

Still hasn't won a competitive game for us has he? 20-odd games now.
Give the lad a break because I've no doubt this would affect anyone...

There's a decent player in Bacuna - we all saw it towards the end of last season - but he's young and inconsistent. Even when he's playing well! At the moment nothing is going right for him. And he's not helping himself at times. For me, he needs to concentrate on doing the basics well to build his confidence. His vision is often very good - he sees the creative pass - but his technique often let's him down. Perhaps by playing more conservatively he can rebuild his confidence and then try to reintroduce the more creative parts of his game? Unlike Diakhaby and Mbenza, I've seen enough in Bacuna to think he has potential, but he is raw and needs coaching to make the best of his talents. Perhaps he needs taking out of the firing line for a few games. He's playing so badly at the moment that he's an accident waiting to happen. Hopefully he'll learn from this difficult period and come back a better player. A Bacuna playing like he did at the end of last season - at a higher level remember - would be a real asset to us. I guess it's now in his hands, and the hands of the new manager. Really good points Andy. Although I’d question the lack of confidence part. If anything, I’d put him in the over-confidence category.

He needs dropping to the bench for now. If we're persisting with 433 then Hogg, O'Brien and Chalobah should be in the middle v Cardiff. I think with careful coaching and man management he could still offer us something in the future but we can't afford anyone playing so consistently poor especially when we have other options as above. Sends a bad message to the squad if he keeps his place v Cardiff.

Jesus wept. This is a lad still adjusting. Over the summer lots here were salivating about Bacuna staying the season and us keeping him.
He’s had a shocker the other night but let’s give him chance. A change of Manager and tactics may suit his game more.
If he doesn’t turn out to be a world beater he’s young enough to be sold on as a prospect.

This might be a Bacuna thread but we could be talking about almost any player on the field especially the likes of Mounie ,Mbenza Flo and Kachunga.
Sadly the present main strength of the first team is mainly made up of last seasons failures , and the strength in depth of the first team squad to cover injuries, suspensions and players showing poor form are mainly those incoming who were on the field v Lincoln.
So many of our fans thought many of last seasons premier league failures would struggle at a lower league level ,and that has becoming evident looking at present form.
It also seems the club are now back in DEBT to the past chairman Mr Hoyle , and this has put the club back at least a season especially with the lack of this seasons first part parachute payment that were vital to bringing in those with the ability to do the job expected of them.
It really makes me wonder if that debt would be double had the club spent big last January as Hoyle did say he would not let the club sleepwalk into relegation, and that money spent would have been an added part of his mentioned £50 million loan
Every player has a market value ,but there is a case here when the club needs to take what they can get for certain flops simply because in the real world , a player is only worth what another club is willing to pay.
For example Mounie is not worth £11.5 million and never was plus same can be said for some of the other retained big money signing flops
Mooy should have been sold at his present rated value of £10 to 15 million as those funds would have gone along way even if trying to help clear the present debt
I dont know what would happen if he got badly injured at Brighton ,or there was a big drop in his form
Any manager coming in would have to do with the present retained players what both Wagner and Siewert failed to do this and last season , so maybe a case here of being careful what you wish for

I would certainly like to know what these flops are being paid

Well he definitely played against Wolves cos he won the ball and gave it to Mooy for the cross Mounie put away. Maybe we haven't won a game he's started.

Never started in a winning town side would be the correct stat but the idiot commentators get it wrong when giving their idiot talking points.

Reminds me of Chris Marsden, who was also prone to trying long passes. However, about 50% of Marsden’s passes found their man.....

I haven’t given up on him but why he got picked Friday is a mystery. Shocking in every game this season just rolling round saying he’s injured giving the ball away.

How would a Mounie/Depoitre strike force work ,and surely wont be long before it is tried and tested by Wagner The team seem to be spoilt for choice for players at the moment as nobody in our squad looks out of place in the Premier league.
