Maybe a back three might be better if we don't have full backs that cannot defend well enough for a back 4? Problem then is how to accommodate wingers as we have 735 of them in the squad! We don’t have anyone good enough to play left or right wing at this level. I agree with bacunafritatas. Left wingback would suit Rajiv as he normally works hard and right wingback would suit flo better. Get Kongolo back in the centre and forget about the other wingers we own

Agreed. I'm not sure exactly what he was supposed to do. If he'd closed Cavaliero down, Cavaliero could easily have slotted it through to Bryan. It was a clever bit of play from Fulham & shows the havoc that can be caused when you attack as a unit with clever movement. Flo had to deal with 2 men by himself. The attacking side of his game IS better than the defensive, but I thought he played quite well last night. well defenders normally tackle. it's not rocket science. Go in for the tackle, Cavaliero (who was always favourite) slides the ball in to Bryan who drills it across the 6 yard box = goal = Flo blamed for losing his man. Could he (and the rest of the defence) have done better? Sure. And that's something that I'd hope will be gone through in training. Personally though I'd have said that you go for the lowest hanging fruit first & whilst the 2nd goal could have been prevented with a better drilled defence, it came from some very clever movement. Their first was just plain shit defending.

As you say, Flo was buggered in having to second guess which of the 2 options their lad would take.

People are a season late to the Flo criticism. Flo has been good in the Championship.

I don;t want to dwell on his mistake partly for that reason & partly because he looked so good in the first half. Blaming Flo seems to be the fashionable thing to do at the moment though. But that first goal was atrocious though. Bacuna looks great at times, but my god he has an unbelievable howler or two in his locker as well. Even after that though, I would have expected Elphick to have done better. A cross coming in from Bacuna was unexpected, but had he not got to it, Cavaliero could have put that same cross in. To leave Mitrovic with such an easy header was piss poor.
