The Chairman has to win the fans back we need a fresh approach, with a new man new ideas and in my opinion new coaching staff, it’s the only way to shake off the dreadful stench of defeatism that hangs over the club at the moment. There is one ex Brighton Manager looking for a job who will command instant respect from the players and we should do everything we can to bring him to Huddersfield Town.

It will be Hudson, the cheapest option.

Agree it needs a fresh start top to bottom. They couldn’t possibly spin it positively if they went for a current member of the coaching team

I would suggest our current circumstances with the new owner make it impossible for them to go cheap or make an internal appointment

We would be silly to pick somebody else with no experience. We need somebody that knows what they’re doing and can get is organized quickly and get results before confidence ccompletely disappears

The club needs to take its time over this decision. If that means Hudson as caretaker for a few games, so be it.
If the team performs well under his watch and gets a few positive results, that's as good a CV as any that might be emailed in from the usual suspects.

I have no problems with Hudson taking over. He learnt a lot of David Wagner who effectively put him on a 6 month internship before taking over the the EDT/U23 development team. He knows many of the squad. Either having played with them or coached them in the EDT.
A comparison is Lee Bowyer at Charlton who hadn't done any UEFA coaching badges but has turned out to be a fantastic manager. 53% win rate.

Good points well put and the Bowyer comparison is spot on, they love him down there. Hudson will have learnt a hell of a lot since joining the coaching team from Wagner how to do the job and from Siewart, how not to. Give him a chance, at least and let's get behind him.

Heard from a fan last night (who has a sauce, but who doesn't?) that CH has been approached. My guess is that Hudson will take the team to Cardiff and new manager reveal before the reading game.

I said in June Hudson will be manager by October
Jan was clearly never going to succeed with the boards lack of backing
Hudson’s the cheap easy option like our approach to the transfer window

Hudson is the obvious choice as caretaker, and I would have no problem with him in charge for as long as it takes to find the right man as Siewert's successor.
The next man - as an absolute must - needs to have the level 5 coaching badge. If for no other reason than they will not be eligible to manage in the PL without it. Otherwise, it's tantamount to saying that we have no interest in getting there.
MH may make a brilliant manager. It's entirely possible that he'll be the right man to take over permanently from the next incumbent. But for now? No.

Going forward, we need a new approach, a bit of experience and a dynamic backroom team. An easy job for Phil to be getting on with this weekend!

It certainly looks way to predictable.

If we win our next few matches why would we not go with Hudson.. Basically its hid job if he can get the team winning . And I dont think any fan would be upset if we keep winning.

Hudson would be another massive gamble. Not sure the state we're in with this team wants that.
Hughton has piles of experience and success under his belt. If we could get him then its a no brainer for me.

Hudson will be caretaker obviously but it would be a no from me for a long term appointment unless we win the next 5 in a row or something crazy.
He is more inexperienced than Siewart
