Unless the club do already have somebody else lined up, I’d be ok to let Hudson take over the reins to the international break but irrespective of how we go (well, unless he wins all three 5-0), I don’t want it to go to him long-term or til the end of the season.

I disagree I don't think they should have the job but I think we should let them take charge whilst we take our time finding the right man. I'd be surprised if they don't already know the 'right man'. Meanwhile Hudson has taken charge. Hopefully.

Had to refresh my memory - so just checked - and it seems Solskjaer's Utd fell away badly after beating PSG 3-1 away to everyone's surprise. So what went wrong after that? Quality in depth too thin in Utd's squad to be playing 3 games a week, and not being able to strengthen substantially in the January due to most of the transfer kitty being wasted on Sanchez? Not sure, but anyway, as regards Hudson, I really hope we don't let any more key players go, otherwise it's going to be difficult persuading someone of top-class merit to come here. So we might have to chance our arm with Hudson. I mean OK, no-one is expecting him to go on an 8-match winning run, but if Town can get 5 or 6 points against Cardiff, Reading and Luton? Might be tempting for PH to keep him on. The players will be enthused to be shut of a manager that they were not happy with. There should be a bounce, how high remains to be seen, but that bounce would be there even if you or I were in charge. I thought most of the players who were unhappy with Siewert had gone now? As for bounce, well, was enough air pumped into the ball over the summer to get sufficient bounce in it in the first place? For me, the top players can't have been inspired by what's gone on over the summer and as such became deflated and we've fallen flat on our faces. Temporarily. Hopefully. :-)

Apparently Hudson was round Phil's last night with his chocolate raisins.

I think the fact we need any windows to sort out squad out is what frustratingly and upsetting for people. The prem campaign seems to have hurt us more than helped us and this is hard for everyone to accept. Well it hasn't hurt us more than helped us . Cos we have better players more dough and a training complex. The hurt comes from missed opportunity. It's completely unravelled in 2019 . So it might hurt to hear the truth but it's still the truth . I agree but the noises from the club haven’t really reflected this that much imo. 3 windows to sort out (a mess) should really be we’ve 3 windows to make the best use of our premier league players and secure a good start to the season. Re.more dough again undoubtedly true but when we sign old guys on frees fans question where that money is, perhaps not fully accepting the size of the wage bill. However, there’s been some big sales too.
