Cameo has a reputation of being reliable. It's not based on bookie's odds. Cameo pops up now and again for short periods, I don't really know what you would call these appearances? ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔😁

Poor appointment in my honest opinion. Part of the issue with JS was that he was not respected in the dressing room. I believe the only way to galvanise our current drawing room is to bring inns somebody with pedigree, that will command the respect of the players form day one. PH had already forwarded us that it will take three windows for us to truly re-group and re-shape, meaning the incoming manager will have challenges for the next twelve months.
I know we were unsuccessful in making at least one high-profile appointment, after that we have made the best of a poor situation. But I don’t think this will be the end of a very difficult period.

My mate’s mate says that his brother’s wife’s cousin’s brother’s neighbour is Steve McClaren. His put his house up for sale and moving to Huddersfield....you heard it here first... Actually we heard it earlier when you said it...and the time before that when you said it....

But Steve McClaren was England manager and also did a great job with Derby, so our players should respect him.

Danny Cowley yellow carded to great applause. Enjoyable game now, mainly due to Wycombe. Lincoln bench looking pissed off now.

Have to agree, The Cowleys would be good if they had come in at the end of this season with a full pre-season, As it stands I also believe we would be better off having an Adkins type to keep us in the 2nd tier and then go from there.
If it is another PE teacher will our players show him the respect they would to a bigger name,, Am not sure.

If we have got them and paid the brass, the Chairman will support them to shift out the lads who don’t perform. Plus, 99% of posters here will be right behind them. You’ll never get 100% happy with anything.

Lincoln might have said they want the money and they’re free to talk to us, but that doesn’t mean they have to join us. Same as any player. Selling club can say they’re free to go, player doesn’t have to join. It’s the wages and vision of the club chasing them that whets their appetite.

Cowley’s clapped the crowd at the end. Nothing out of the ordinary. Fairly brief.

I respect people have their own opinions, but I dont see how it isnt a better appointment than Adkins or Rowett. For Cowley if he does come here he will give everything to ensure his reputation continues to grow and to ensure he doesnt have a relegation on his cv. Rowett and Adkins will still get job offers even if they fail here, and could easily come here and go through the motions when things start to go wrong. I also dont get the argument about the appointment at the start of the season. Yes Siewart should never have been given the summer, and I was very vocal about that, but in the summer we could have perhaps enticed someone else, but after 6 games, with us sat 2nd bottom, in that short space of time, the managers willing to come very quickly will dry up in my opinion and the fact Cowley would want to come here and risk his growing reputation is a big positive for me, because he simply cant really fail at Lincoln.

You’ll never get 100% happy with anything. 75% would possibly agree with you. Had we got Guardiola here some would have found serious fault with the appointment. They are happy to be unhappy with everything.😖

Just a thought folks. We sold VLP for £1m. If we get the Cowley’s and staff for £1m compo... Would ANYONE be critical? Straight swap in my eyes and a blinding move. Whilst I agree in principal, IF we had to sell a player to fund a move for a new manager I would be far from happy, however it would appear we've moved on a "marmite" player who would seem to be a bad apple irrespective of wether you think he was brilliant or a bit shite, in which case it makes sense either the added benefit it covers the cost of a managerial appointment that "most" Town fans seem to think is a good one. Earlier today I caught a piece of the pre match Small Chickens build up on Radio Leeds - it made for informative listening as I'd no idea what's been occurring down there, last season they tried Boom or Bust (agreed by all the pro Bantans panel) yet despite the 4th biggest wages in their division they finished bottom, Sean Scannell cited as one of the many high earners, also Doyle who is in his last year of contract and been loaned out to Swindon, while they subsidise his wages !! During last week and the end of the transfer window they moved 15 players in and out and the manager stated they will need 2 or 3 transfer windows to sort the playing squad out - again all the panel nodded and agreed that made sense. Also their attendances while sounding impressive, around 18,000 last tine around and 14,000 this time are in reality worth only around 2/3 to 1/2 of that due to the cheap cost if season cards. Sound familiar to anyone?

Epsom, any comments among the Lincoln fans? Don’t know, I’m not with them and I’m not good at just talking to strangers, but I thought they were subdued outside in the beer and bbq tent and they’ve been pretty quiet considering they’re top, although they’re not performing today. I had a brief but good natured chat with a couple of Lincoln fans as we walked up towards the JSS before our League Cup tie last month, the last thing I said was "If you win tonight, we'll be in for your manager next week." (It was said jokingly, I never expected us to lose - yeah, I know ! and as and when JS departed I never seriously thought we might make a move for them) the reaction of both was just like the Town fans with Wagner in the promotion season, "Don't you dare" and "You can't have them, they've got unfinished business here" Let's see what the next few days bring, a weeks a long time in politics and all that.

It’s Cowley.
He will fulfil his obligations around today’s game with Lincoln, say farewell to his team, and an announcement will follow soon confirming his appointment as the next manager of Huddersfield Town
How’s that sound?
