Seen there's a rail ticket offer with Northern Rail currently and taken the gamble ( as fixture date and time is subject to possible changes still) but a bargain if it remains 2nd Nov at 3pm for what will be the last time at Griffin Park.
It even allowed me to book a Virgin trains journey down to Euston from Tamworth way cheaper than I could find elsewhere ( Trainsplit/Virgin direct)
Worth a nose maybe.

Not sure why Northern are selling Virgin tickets at a discount when they aren't discounted by Virgin!!!

Coming in at £76 from Dewsbury
Hardly a bargain
Think that there are engineering works on the east coast on that day

That's odd because the Northern sale is only for journeys on Northern trains and is only valid for travel in September. That, and the fact that advance tickets aren't on sale yet for 2nd November.

Totally off topic. Yes. The Northern Rail sale is for 10p tickets in September. (we've already booked trips to Chester, Nottingham, Southport and Manchester for 20p return each)

[/quote Can't do links sorry but:-Just go on the Northern Rail website and scroll down to the 10pFlashSale bit and click through. Not a lot from HUD but we are booked out of Halifax/Brighouse/Mirfield and Wakey. Not great times for days out but perfect for what we want - about 4 hours in the destination Town. Enough to have a pint in all the GBG pubs around.

Just booked day trips to Manchester and Blackpool, then found a Sunday excursion, Shipley to Carlisle over Ribblehead. All for the princely sum of 60p!
