I think it is? Not sure when we last got just a point from 4? We had 2 points from 4 last season (in PL!!) and I seem to think it was then 2009/9 and then, with Lee Clark coming in later season we managed 9th. I'll take 9th this season....  #dontpanicmrmannering |

Last time we were relegated from the top flight, in 1972, we only lost 3 of our first 12 matches in the old Div. 2, under Ian Greaves.
But it was pretty much downhill all the way after that......

Well, let's hope this is now all uphill not downhill! Lots of games left, lots of teams we can beat - it is all about the new manager and then getting the mentality sorted out - it CAN be done. be daft to think we are adrift at this stage with 42 games left...….. |

Had a look, worst start to a season since 92/93 when we lost our first 6.

08/09 we had 2 points from 4, then won our 5th game. Had a look, worst start to a season since 92/93 when we lost our first 6. Yep 1992/93 is our worse start after 4 games. We finished 15th that season Other seasons we only got 1 point after 4 games 1986/87 - Finished 17th 1927/28 - Finished 2nd, 2pts behind Champions Everton Only 1 season have we won our first 4 league games, 1924/25 when we finished as Champions. |
