My friend claims to have seen him with Phil Hodgkinson at Da Sandro’s a couple of hours ago. They could be just friends hanging out but we’re after a manager ain’t we? Could be just a coincidence mind..

He’ll be cheap that’s for sure and rightly so since correct me if I’m wrong but he’s failed in every managerial job he’s ever had. Great coach so I hear but hopefully Phil and dean have now learned that means fuck all when you’re looking for a head coach or football manager.

I was going to post that PH talked about re finding our identity when siewart was sacked. Bit like Swansea have over the years. That's why I wondered about the names on the current betting lists. Appleton would keep the identity

Hasn't failed everywhere he's been. Difficult time at Portsmouth as they dropped into administration but generally seen as doing a good job in difficult circumstances
Blackpool left early made a poor decision moving to Blackburn
Very successful at Oxford and when linked to the Swansea job this summer, Oxford fans said best football they've ever seen was under him

Probably under-rated as a manager, and I would not be surprised to see him apply.
Not sure he's the right candidate at the moment. I'd prefer somebody with a track record that could command respect in the dressing room (or command respect in the boardroom when he said he wanted to have a clear-out).

Not failed everywhere, think he got Oxford promoted and I think he was once linked with a previous managers job at Town. Seems to move clubs fairly quickly though! Built like a doorman! |
