At the back end of last season I was told that all Town fans couldn't wait to get back to the Championship to finally see competitive games and actually win a few. I was also told Town had a squad easily capable of challenging for the top 6. It's OK though there's always next season, Town should comfortably make the top half in League 1.

Leeds look good and consistent, although it was the same last season.. wonder if they'll keep it up this time or bottle it again.
As for Town.. no words. Absolute shambles since the start of the second season in the Prem. Incredible how we've returned to the Championship worse than when we were plodding away in it the last time before getting promoted, in a comparatively much weaker league.

It wasn't burn out that cost Leeds last season as I see so many people suggest. If you look at the stats we were putting in the yards exactly the same at the end of the season as we were the start. Injuries and a lack of goals is what cost us in the end. This year with the addition of the young lad from Arsenal and Costa from Wolves we've got a bit more threat in the final 3rd. Those two have only made late sub appearances so far so there's more to come. Keeping Bielsa and Phillips was key this season and now with the extra year they've had to work under his methods we're already looking better for it. I'd say it looks a weaker league this season to last season too.
Regards Town looking from the outside it's as though you've not shaken that losing mentality picked up from being in the Prem, that and from what little I've seen the quality just isn't there. Not having a replacement lined up for Mooy seems mental.

The main one,Biesla has never won anything bar the olympics,which was an amateur competition at the time.He’s proved over a 30 odd year career that when it counts he doesn’t deliver. Luckily you’re only paying him £70k a week... |
