Where’s this Leeds fan telling us there’s not two better teams in the league?
There is so far, that’s why they’re 3rd.
Any Sheffield Wednesday ones to add? Pissing the league after 3 games weren’t they, so they kept telling me. Back to life..... back to reality. As the song goes

Youve actually spent time and effort registerimg for this site ... blimey The effort is well worth it considering all the lording you lot have been doing for the past two seasons. Every dog has it's day and you've had yours and it's now well and truly over. One of your biggest threads on here is titled 'Leeds are falling apart again' well I think you you lot have now taken that crown. What exactly have you done with all the Premier League money anyway? you don't even have championship standard players, they all look League 1 level. What a total cock up! lol It was only a matter of time though and it's looking like we'll both end up where we truly belong by the end of this season if things carry on. I get the feeling it's going to be a very enjoyable season. : ) It's early in the season. You ejaculated prematurely last season. I'd be keeping my powder dry if I were you.

Leeds haven’t got a single player who will cut it in the Prem.

The honest answer to that is...currently, yes, they are bigger than you, if bigger means playing at a higher level and receiving much larger income levels. What would you factor as bigger? Leeds probably have more supporters in Australlia and Scandinavia than all those clubs have supporters in the UK. Despite having been out of the top flight for a long stint the world wide support is still huge. Leeds were also the most televised team in the country last season. Not a big club tho? OK. However in Leeds (where it really matters) supporters are outnumbered by Rhinos...

Also, every season Leeds spend outside the top flight hurts their fans as much as last season's disaster hurt us.

Leeds haven’t got a single player who will cut it in the Prem. I’d be more concerned that you don’t have a single player that can cut in the Championship.

Whilst that's patently bollocks, just a genuine Q as to whether you think you'll stay the course this season. Familiar start to last season is it? It's a long haul as you know. I think we'll get our players clicking & we'll haul ourselves out of this. Probably not enough to finish above your lot for the first time in 3-4 seasons, but hopefully enough to breathe some confidence back into proceedings in due course. Who knows, we could sneak up on the rails if we burst into a totally unexpected vein of form...

Tha shud no ba now.. Tha dusnt get promoted in september.. 👍 Who’s gloating? I’m simply saying we’re a better side this season than last and the extra time Bielsa has had with them can only improve us. From what I’ve seen so far it’s a weaker league this season and I stand by what I said in that I don’t see two better teams than us this year. That’s not to say we will go up but we got very close last year and I’m pretty sure we’ll be close again this. All you lot have done for the past two years is gloat, what was it I kept hearing....you didn’t want to bother worrying about shitty lower league teams now you were in the Prem. The rate you’re going that lower league opposition will be League 2 teams.

I fully expect your lot to be tripping over themselves to subscribe on DATM in April/May if things are looking good for yourselves... If you do go up, you'll have earned it, but it's a vastly different beast from the place you left all those yrs ago, not that most of your supporters will get that...

You think I don’t watch the Premier League? And to be honest it isn’t all that different from back then, there’s still 3 leagues within the league and the top 6 are way ahead of the rest. There’s not a great deal between the bottom 3rd of the Prem and top 3rd of the Championship as is proved when teams go up and when teams come down.

It isn't all that different from back then?
The league might look the same, but don't be fooled by thinking you'll be welcomed back into the movers and shakers club, that ship long since sailed, even for long standing D1/PL clubs like Everton...
The money has skewed it disproportionately.
How would your owners view getting to the PL? As a success to invest & capitalise on, or an opportunity to recoup some of their outlay? You've not exactly had any benefactors inside your club for a good few yrs have you.

Rads doesn’t have anywhere near the kind of money needed to invest for that. I think it’s very possible he’d look to cash in though if he did take us up, rumours of the PSG lot have been strong for quite a while now.

How would you get round FFP if you became the plaything of PSG?

How would you get round FFP if you became the plaything of PSG? I’ve got no idea but these owners of clubs seem to manage it. Isn’t advertising the usual way, like sponsor the stadium etc.

Wouldn’t wanna go back there. Pointless unless you’ve a billionaire owner. Even if you do get up you’ll need £200M on players. Different landscape to when you were last there. There’ll be no fortress elland Rd. Just every team every week will have 11 players all much better than yours.

Norwich seem to be doing ok. We were top of the prem early doors in our 1st season. Your point? That having 11 better doesn’t always mean you win. Having a top manager with a system and players that know it can get you quite far. And weren’t you just top after 1 game? If I remember correctly you’d beaten Palace 3-0. Norwich just beat probably the best team the Premier League has seen.

Nah, think it might have been after 2-3 games We beat N'castle, then drew with someone who I can't recall (Soton or Leicester possibly) Norwich just beat one of, or possibly the most, expensive team English football has seen assembled. That's the problem...

I reckon you’ll get over the line this year pal, partly because it’s a poor league this time, partly through fear of what happened last season & most importantly because you retained the services of Bielsa, the best manager in the Championship (although it pains me to say it 😉). I’ll actually be quite intrigued to see how you’d fare but make no mistake about it, it’s a different league to the one you left 16 years ago. Top 6 plus Everton, Wolves & Leicester (possibly 1 other) mean everyone else is simply playing to stay up. It wears thin quite quickly. Anyways, you’ve to get there yet!

Very true and we still have a relatively thin squad but it’s how Bielsa likes it as risky as it is given injuries etc. It was injuries and a lack of goals at the end of last season that ultimately cost us. We have addressed the goal threat and the big difference this season is now we have quality to come on from the bench. Being able to bring Nketiah and Costa off the bench is already paying off as today showed. Getting both those two in this season could be the difference.

Thirdly come see me in May when you’re promoted..... which is every year as this is your year now. Haven’t seen you lot for two seasons, when we were milking the big money.

Firstly I've never previously said 'it was going to be our year' Secondly the Chuckle Brothers can have as many games as they want, they ain't going to pull goals out of thin air with the shite you've currently got. Thirdly milking the big money, how's that working out for you? Even if you wanted to sign someone half decent, would they really want to join a sinking ship? Finally just face up to it, we're heading in opposite directions. We'll both be where we truly belong before very long, possible even after this season. Keep your chin up though matey, it's only a game. : )

So we've spent 71% of our history in the top 2 leagues, but we "truly belong" in the third tier.
Great logic.
