What would you prefer??
Last season was awful. Dead and buried rubbish. Would a comfortable mid-table finish be any fun? Or would we prefer a scrapping season trying to stay up??.....
(Assuming we do stay up, that is)

Big exciting battle please as it is so boring now ! Exactly. Like another poster said, it’s just numb right now. We are looking all relegation no battle!!! That’s what the new gaffer needs to instil - some fight!!!!

In the past one had mates jealous that I support Town as we seem to be involved at the bottom or top most seasons until the final month whilst they support someone utterly boring like Ipswich or Port Vale.

Would I prefer the team I support and want to win as many games as possible lose more games than win and fear going into Lge 1 or stay up comfortably with plenty of wins and going away smiling after games? Tough one.

Mid table mediocrity for me, it would be quite a change from recent seasons at least.

Presumably if we put a run of good results together that lifts us to about 20th people will want to lose a couple to make it more "exciting"? Perhaps the board need to put on the job specification that the new manager mustn't win too many matches cos some of our fans want a relegation battle.

Unfortunately I don't think we have any choice in the matter.
I would like to see a little bit of battle along the way though !

The season we went up Fulham had a bad start 1 win and 1 draw in first 7. A good new manager to get this lot playing some attacking football no reason we can't still have a decent season. This appointment is critical and rightly or wrongly will go some way to define Phils stewardship.
