It’s almost certain the new manager will be in place well before the Wendies game. That fact alone will encourage fans to go to the game even if they’re saying they won’t go right now, irrespective of who it is (Hudson excepted). I’m up anyway to see a good friend the day before in Harrogate, so I’ll be going. Mr Dinsdale ?

Ok let's take the piss out of the owner, what a shame Dean didn't sell to one of the other three dozen billionaires desperate to buy the club.

I don’t really see how money is the problem at the minute. We have a squad of players where the majority seem to be playing for the wage, rather than the shirt. We don’t have a permanent manager. We have zero confidence. We seem to be tactically inept in every game. We haven’t had a plan b during a game for a couple of years. When we had no money at all we had at least 3 of the above ticked off. But let’s blame the chairmen and money as all other avenues are exhausted.

And you know this how? Taking his money out all at once or over a number of years? Just because we didn't blow it all in the summer doesn't mean we're skint.

Turnover in 2007/08 was £4m (plus £0.7m from cup runs). With £0.7m going on stadium rent after operating costs of £2.8m, that left £1.2m for players’ wages. Extra shareholder support allowed a £1.9m playing budget. Operating from leased training pitches at Storthes Hall and without any legal interest in the stadium or Leeds Road Barn, the total value of the assets of the entire club was £1.9m compared with liabilities of £2.8m and a further £1.9m owed to Ken Davy. With a squad founded mainly on Academy players, the value of players under contract on the first day was £100,000 and of the entire squad inherited only Academy players Michael Collins (below) and David Mirfin were ultimately sold for transfer fees, bringing in £400,000. You’re welcome.

Dean has shafted PH, he’s left him with a club in chaos, and he’s likely taken a large chunk of his investment back, but hey, you clearly understand the bigger picture ;-) clever boy

Billionaires were queueing out of Deans office and along the front of the ticket office i heard. From abroad too, so maybe even trillionaires , some of them. They were all going to give Dean his money back in full AND turn us into the next Man City, but weirdly Dean decided we'd all be better off with Phil.

Hoyle told us there was significant interest from overseas Hodgkinson told us Hoyle contacted him and made Hodgkinson a proposal
