Find it difficult to argue with any of that to be honest - football is very transient though and things can change very quickly.

we're 6 games into a long season. Remember we started really well in our first premier league season before just avoiding relegation? It's not how you start it's how you finish. Let's hope Karlan has seen this and rubs it into the smug pricks face when we play them.

There's a discussion this morning about this article on the 'next Town manager odds' thread. Seems there is a confusion on what were his quotes and which were the authors thoughts on the matter.

Yes, I also got a bit mixed up between the authors quotes and Bowyers. I still find some of what he's saying smug. He finishes with the fans won't want him back but he hopes he's happy where he is. I bet he does! Without actually saying it he's insinuating he only came for the money and not the football.

Is there a new rule that we have two threads on every topic now?

Is there a new rule that we have two threads on every topic now? Please point out the other thread I've missed it. One thing I try to avoid is duplicating threads.

Its in the News Shopper. Anybody who has ever lived in South East London (that's a DA or BR postcode, not SE) knows this paper is a load of rubbish.
Hell it has adverts for massage parlours with 'new girls every week' in.

Is there a new rule that we have two threads on every topic now? I've seen it now, this topic is in the 'Next town managers odds' thread. Easily missed because it's hardly a thread dedicated to Lee Bowyer was it?

Easily missed because it's hardly a thread dedicated to Lee Bowyer was it? Always the problem with this board. Important stuff gets lost in/subsumed by other stuff. The thread that I started to review one book then became hi-jacked to include a second book, and from there on in confusion reigned supreme as posters weren't sure which book/author was being discussed when. And all because someone was too frightened to begin a new, specific thread...

Im glad Nick didnt start all these duplicate threads or he would be bollocked. It's NOT a duplicated thread Nick, it's a duplicated topic. Bit difficult to post a topic on this forum if you have to go through every thread and check every topic to see if it's a duplicate before you post.

Dear Lee,
Karlan Grant scored goals in the Premier League, something he would never have achieved if he'd stayed at Charlton Athletic.
If Huddersfield Town was such a bad move, why did you apply to be manager?

Here is the only quote from Lee Bowyer...........
“I don’t think it’s fair to say he regrets his move because he went to play in the Premier League, he’s scored goals in the Premier League and as a kid that’s what you want to do, to play at the highest level you possibly can.
“Karlan had an opportunity to play Premier League football, he made it clear he wanted to do that, and we had to let him go.”

Not a big Lee Bowyer fan, but not sure what he's said there is particularly controversial. Seems to be commenting more on the rationale for a move being more influenced by monetary greed & hoping that KG is a bit pissed off football wise (so should be trying to get out of the hole regardless of the dosh).
