Going leftfield here but what about Roy Keane? The youtube link above shows that he is a compelling character. Maybe it is my age but as a player Keane would be the first player in any team selection of players over the last 30 years. He had a good time as a manger at Sunderland. 42% win rate at the Mackems. Ipswich 50/50.
Anyhow, Keane is up for being a manager again so there we go. It would be interesting.

Always admire your optimistic posts Greyarea but you're losing credibility here. It's a no and i cannot see why anyone woukd even contemplate it. He wouldn't even be a cheap option.

Nope. Never seen his team's reflect any kind of style or tactics.

I've heard he plans to bring Jonathan Stead in as his assistant. He always liked him.

Absolutely! He showed with Ireland that he still has a lot to offer managerially. He’s worked under the 2 best managers of all time and a third outstanding one.
He’d renew the ailing profile of the club and attract some good young players in January such is his reputation in the game. Would obviously upset the plastic scousers amongst our number but we need winners at the club if we’re to halt this slide.

Watch David Norris’ comments about him on YouTube, he’s not what we need at all.

Definitely affected by drinking red wine late at night. I put Keane's name in only as a leftfield suggestionwhile watching that interview. He is certainly compelling to listen too. Adkins for me if we can get him to sign up. (Although the Cowley's were my No1 preference)

After the Rhodes deal, he'd fit in well with our transfer policy of getting rid of our best players without replacing them.

Only just picked up on this. Was this thread posted in jest or you being serious? I don't finished work late, ended up watching the interview which I posted; and, well he is certainly compelling in the interview plus I got through most of the bottle of red. It was a serious if alcohol induced thought.
