Where does this leave him ?
'Future manager of Huddersfield Town'
Given he's recently signed a new contract it would be a shame if he's a casualty of the new regime, however, nothing surprises in football. Here today, gone tomorrow....

Away from the first team and let him do work with the younger generation. It needs a total fresh outlook and if he’s lingering about, so is the previous shit. Work with the youngsters and that’s that for now.

At least he'll have a bit more time on his hands to post more photos of his big **** off Mansion on Instagram.

Both he and Whitehead are highly thought of at town so I can’t them leaving. Hudson’s ambitious though.

Taking on the same role that Boom Boom has at Lincoln, I expect.

Can't understand the, usual, cynicism and aggression towards Mark Hudson. A leader as a player and Captain at Town, seemingly very well respected by all the players, and though he didn't get the results altered our playing style as much as possible in a short time. Seems to work hard in all he does.
I've no idea what his plans are, or what Town's plans are for him, but I'm grateful for what he has brought to the club since the day he arrived. Certainly no glamour boy, but a refreshing character in today's football.
I'll be pleased if he stays.

And on record, along with Whitehead, as been instrumental in ensuring the dressing room got on board with Wagner, double sessions, etc.

The bloke seems a nice fella, but with all that’s happened, it may be best he has a different input for now with HTAFC? Prove himself on a certain level, do his qualifications or what he still needs and go from there. If they keep him with the 1st team, then I can’t go against these two, they obviously know their stuff and will see something others don’t.

Wasn't referring to your post at all hitown - there's enough rudeness and general nastiness on this board on most subjects without me adding to it.

There might well be a role for Hudson with the first team coaching? It all depends on how the Cowley brothers want to organise their team.
If not Hudson will slip back into his role as the EDT/U23 manager, Whitehead running the U19's and Worthington running the U17's. Bromby is the overseer/academy manager.
I don't think Hudson will mind too much as seeing his Tweets and posts, he clearly sees himself as learning/developing coach rather than ready to step up to managing a whole club.
As posted above he and Whitehead are held in high esteem by the club and Wagner suggested to both, they had the qualities to be excellent coaches.
Hudson is also ambitious and a leader so when asked if he wanted the job, he was always going to say yes, and believe he could even though he needs 1-2yrs more development experience.
Saying all that I can see the Cowley's as Manager + Assistant Manger and Hudson 1st team coach (plus all the other coaches, Clement, Dr Iga etc).

Hell of a difference putting what you want across, than physically being able to. He has a good football brain, his legs let him down towards then end of his career.

Why will he be back with the U21s? We've been operating with a top man, assistant & 1st team coach, why should that change? I can can see Mark Hudson fitting perfectly with our new management team! An excellent character and held in high regard by Town!

I expect Hudson to fulfil the same role and support the Cowleys.

Just hope that Hudson,Whitehead and Bromby stay and return to their previous roles but as has been already stayed many time over the years "no loyalty in football".

Hudson is a good man.. Loyal to the club.. Honest and reliable.. Hope he stays in some capacity.. I agree and think that he still would benefit from the experience but his words recently hint that he's starting to want the autonomy of being the boss. He's also quite strong and direct in his approach, would he, himself be prepared to step back down now?

What ever back room staff role the new manager decides is right for him.
If he's not good enough/happy there's a door available.

He could always help out the kit man or mark the pitch out.
Kidding. I hope he stays on at the club to some degree.

First Team Coach on the Clubs website and still very much part of the setup when you view the gallery of the first training session under Cowley, long may this continue and hope he learns more being under new management as he continues on his own career path. He will have certainly learned good and bad from the last two years.
