"lack of investment"? How so? We spent approximately £97m on players during fee's alone during our stint in the PL, compared with approximately £7m across the three seasons prior, and broke our transfer record no less than four times. These fee's minus hugely inflated wages of course (circa £60m per in 2018, so lets say approx £120m in total as 2019 figures haven't been released yet?). We also committed approximately £20m to build a new training complex. |
