The current lot have done very little to show they are up to the job for the last 12 months.
Why not freshen it up completely and play a completely new back four?
Jaden Brown, Edmonds-Green, Stankovich and Duhaney.
They might not have the experience, but the fact is that our current defence can consistently under perform without fear of being dropped. They need a reality check and a kick up the back side.

Becoming comical this board. The day has now come Schindler and Kongolo are not good enough.

Chalobah, Schindler and Kongolo as a back three with Rowe and Jaden Brown as wing backs.

If we want Kongolo to remain at LB then I would probably stick edmonds green in the middle.... you could go for stanks, but not sure he really has the pace to play there, hes probably more at home in hoggs role.

What about the previous keeper can't we blame him as well? One thing I've noticed, every game we've played a keeper never seems to keep a clean sheet.

You defend as a team, not just 5 blokes.

It could be seen either way, but the fact that we have played with multiple keepers and still not kept a clean sheet points towards that the defence is the issue. We could probably play De Gea behind this lot and still not keep a clean.

A lot could be solved by getting rid of Flo teams are targeting our right hand side making the central defenders have to cover If anybody was to choose a weak link in our team it would be Flo I’d rather see the winner of the halftime raffle play right back rather than Flo UTT

For the record, Grabara is a very promising keeper and virtually blameless for me. I did say virtually by the way, nobody is perfect.

His positional sense is awful and inability to do anything but ball watch would make him even more of a liability in a Back 3.

I've advocated a back three since the first 20 minute debacle against Derby. I agree not Elphick. I'd go with Schindler, Stankovic and Kongolo. We need Chalobah in midfield.

Chalobah, Schindler and Kongolo as a back three with Rowe and Jaden Brown as wing backs. That would be a waste of Chalobah IMHO; he is presently our best midfielder (not that he has much competition!).

Grabara is top class. The problem is deffo higher up the field. I would drop Hogg and stick O'Brien, Chalobah and Bacuna across the middle

I advocate starting your defending in open play where the ball is?
This running away and forming a deep basketball type defence is not and has not worked for some time here.
I also advocate that once the ball is cleared from our box we do the same.
Changing who is defending badly for someone else to do the same bad things seems pretty pointless.?

Rather than for giving the ball away I worry that his temperament and eagerness to retaliate would make Bacuna a liability.

We have lacked a commanding centre half for years. Time and time again our powder puff central defence have been bullied by the typical target man players like last Sunday. This was the case even in our promotion season, the likes of Jutkewitz could not be handled. Shame we couldn’t compete for the likes of that Flint chap who left Bristol City, he would chip in with a few goals too!

Town: umpteen crosses - never beat the first defender*. *Also applies to all season, pretty much every season.
