Marcus maddison fits the bill tbh not a great deal of left footed players in the squad and he can deliver a wonderful set piece. Just depends how much that dickface chairman of theirs wants for him

Marcus Maddison would be good. Would fit the bill of creativity with end product, Hopefully posh aren't still sour grapes and make any potential deal difficult.

Just depends how much that dickface chairman of theirs wants for him Wonder if Reece Brown could be used as a bartering tool? Their chairman knows Maddison is out of contract at the end of the season so his hands are tied. Play hardball & risk letting his best player leave for free in the summer or cash in & potentially get a suitable replacement in at the same time.

We can also chuck in the Belgium U21 hotshot Isaac Mbenza because we're really nice and generous.

Reasons to be positive about the transfer window: 1. The Cowley's are trying to play attractive football and have shown that they improve and trust young players. I think that makes us an attractive proposition to prem clubs looking to give youngsters game time. 2. If we can shift our 3/4 big spenders then we should have a bit of cash and definitely wages to attract some players who can add quality and balance to the squad.
Reasons to be fearful about the transfer window: 1. Our squad is threadbare. Ultimately we still need a squad of 23-26. Wholesale changes are destabilising and unlikely in reality. 2. While we might be an attractive loan club for young prem talent, we really need gnarled old pros to give us some experience. Nothing against kids but we have enough of our own.
...
Hopefully we can get a few players in during the window, perm or loan. As a minimum, I think we need (in priority order): - Centre half - Elphick is ok backup, Stankovic shows promise. Assume Kongolo leaves. We need someone to partner Schindler though, absolutely cornerstone to success in this league. - Creative 10 - Someone who can unpick a defence. Pritchard doesn't seem to do it for us although he should stay as a squad player. Needs some competition maybe. - Pace out wide - We need someone who can transition defence to attack quickly, and has a decent delivery. Kachunga tries and Diakhaby has the raw material but there must be better options. - A Target man - basically Mounie but without the attitude and square feet / head, as an alternative or partner to Grant. - Left back - Brown looks good but is probably still a bit raw.
IF (big if) we could all of the above, I'd be ecstatic. What do others think? Any names fitting the bill?

I watch 30 mins of last night live and the Shy highlights this morning. He doesn't stand a chance if we can't cross the bloody ball to him & use his main, possibly only, asset! Thank you.

Ex-Liverpool product, was loaned out to the Seattle Sounders (winners) in the MLS after a long injury layoff. Good character. Will still want to prove that he can make the step up to PL football. Will be available in January.

WE NEED A SET PIECE TAKER
Our corners are absolutely awful. Neither curled, whipped or routines. Just floated in either too deep or they don't beat the first man.
We need a number 10 like Izzy to drive our attack forward and shoot. Bacuna would link up so well if we had a PROPER number 10.

Cowley keeps saying he wants real men and has bombed the attitudes out of the squad, yet Mounié still remains part of it.

Maddison of posh been mentioned a few times to play no 10 role a lot of posh fans think he's too light weight playing central and is better out wide. Good player though

I know that Mbenza, Kongolo, Brown etc are now surplus to requirements but I'm sure on RL the other day Oggy also included Colin Quarner in the list - does anyone know if that's the case?
Nothing to do with either he's shite or his match winning cameo at Hillsborough just curious if the Cowley's are wanting rid or not.

I would imagine the fact he is out of contract in the summer, and the Cowley’s wanting the squad trimming from 28 to 22 he will be surplus to requirements. If he is fit in January we might get a small fee I suppose.

I actually love this When we lost at Fulham, last day of the season under Bruce and missed out on a play off place for a shot at the PL, becoming the first Championship team to be top on Boxing Day and not get promoted, the most angry and disillusioned I've ever been with a Town players was watching the likes of George Donis walk off, laughing and joking with each other, not a care in the World in front of thousands of heartbroken Town fans. I'd be quite happy to pass on my farewell's to some of the current crop of couldn't give a toss players pitch side.
