Bid in for Lewis Holtby - Villa in for Pritchard, might not happen but rumours I've been told tonight. Dean Smith would have been Brentford boss when Pritchard was on loan there, so there would be a connection ? I also wonder if there is a release clause in Holtby’s contract ? We’ve been linked with him before. Neither completely out of the question. |

I know it’s all rumours but I hope Pritchard goes to villa. Simply not worked here. Not sure why. Anything like the 11m we blew on him would be a massive bonus in helping the Crowley’s get some real fresh blood in

If Holtby is the best option we can come up with then it is a bit worrying (assuming there is any truth in it)
I'd hoped between Webb and the Cowleys they would come up with some good signings

Wasnt Holtby without a club at the start of the season then Blackburn got him on a free? Some great transfer work there if we are bidding for him.

Only planning on moving 5 players on willingly. Maybe 6 with mooy? But that will most likely be in the summer. A few young uns out on loan to league 1 as well. Then taking a new look at the loan market, those with us who we may send back depending on makeup of squad and 3 more to make 5 loans. Then the chance to do two permanent deals if they come off. is one of the few people on here who makes me laugh out loud. I miss him outside the transfer window and when he has been forced to take a holiday. I don’t miss him at all 😇 |

Why would we pay for holtby when we could have got him free 6 months ago Don't know, I'm not in charge of transfers. The son of Blackburns assistant drinks in me local and he came to me with it as soon as I walked in. Villa in big for Pritchard, 500k in for holtby. Could be knackers but it's a rumour which is what this threads about. Also when I did speak to mark last time he was down he said Cowley told him he's been told to get 2mil off the wage bill to which cowley said he could do that with 1 player?? anyway I'm still skeptical, but he has no reason to make all this up. I wonder if Blackburn losing Dack for a year might scupper our chances with Holtby. As for Pritch I wouldn't be disappointed if he left. Has produced next to no end product since Feb 2018 for us. Cash in and get Maddison at Posh. |

Hardly set the world on fire so Villa coming in big will mean a net loss on him, just like Diakhaby, Kongolo, Mbenza and whenever Mounie leaves.
Our luck really is non-existant at times.

For a brief moment in time, we were shopping in Sainsbury’s (admittedly with mixed results). We potentially could be now back to shopping in Aldi & Lidl missing out completely Morrison’s & Asda on the way.

Pritchard played almost exclusively in the prem for us in a team which struggled for goals all over. Pretty much anyone's stats would look terrible in our team from those 18 months in the prem. |

I don’t come on this thread much, as it is 99.9% irrelevant bollox. However, I will say this. We are hoping to offload players who are not good enough and/or have a bad attitude. Is the assumption that these “named” players who we are after will be any different?
Any decent player who signs will probably be a young player on loan from a PL club. The rest will have a big question mark hanging over them as to why their current club wants to get rid.

Signing Jack Clarke on loan from spurs would make a lot of sense. Local, young and Spurs want him to play. Plus he is a talented winger which is what we are after.
