Are we just saying names now or do you have credible hot sauce? Billy has "football player tourettes", only seen during the transfer windows blurting out random names. A lot of the 'randoms' become more accurate though don't they...

Just out of curiosity does anyone know where Burnley finished up in their first season outside of the premier? And how much they spent. No point comparing us to a club like Newcastle or villa etc. Just got me thinking were Burnley clever, flukey or did they spend a lot of brass in an attempt to get back to the promised land which ultimately paid of.

When he's named every single pro in football he'll hit on one by process of elimination. Right now I can't see us tempting a striker from the bundesliga who has 8 goals in 17 games.

I was under the impression that we needed "experienced" players not 19/20 year old loanees from the Premier Lge.We have enough of these on our "home grown" books already.

For a brief moment in time, we were shopping in Sainsbury’s (admittedly with mixed results). We potentially could be now back to shopping in Aldi & Lidl missing out completely Morrison’s & Asda on the way. Kongolo, Mbenza and others came from Fortnum and Mason's and look what good that did, but never fear I've just seen Danny Cowley going in Tesco express afterall he did state he wanted a quick turnaround this shopping window. Stick the unwanted items on ebay 99p starting price with free p&p (someone will drive them there)

Embarrassing stats for a £2m player never mind a £10m player. Jesse Lingard, on over 100k a week, hasn't scored or assisted in the last 12 months. Pritchard played almost exclusively in the prem for us in a team which struggled for goals all over. Pretty much anyone's stats would look terrible in our team from those 18 months in the prem. Exactly. If he gets a run at this level he'll be back to his best imo and he and Mooy looked our best players in the PL despite his stats. I dare say mooys stats for last season are also poor, not hard to guess why! His injury issues are bloody annoying though. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

We miss him when he doesn't play, but for me hes abit like Ince, I'd like him to stay because he has the right attitude, but if someone offered us our money back, then I wouldn't lose any sleep over him leaving.

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards I'm with you on the point about the stats, but I can't for the life in me see where you are coming from about the standard of his performances. He was verging on woeful in virtually every game. The only game I recall him playing particularly well in was Bournemouth at home. Did far less than some much more maligned players. Ineffective in possession (what happened to his shooting) and may as well not been on the pitch when the opposition had it. He's done it before, so there's nothing to say he couldn't again.

Curious reply if you don’t mind me saying so, Mids. One of the er, joys, of transfer threads are Billy143’s random names. Another Anderson perhaps, one known already to the Cowley bro’s?

I know it’s all rumours but I hope Pritchard goes to villa. Simply not worked here. Not sure why. Anything like the 11m we blew on him would be a massive bonus in helping the Crowley’s get some real fresh blood in It's the Cowleys 🤬🤬🤬 Thanks for the correction. You should get a job with Apple autocorrecting everything to be a town related word when on DATM.

I've usually found billy143's stuff to be decent to be fair...he's no Maynard or Cameo...but he's certainly no townrwe

Despite United blooding a few youngsters this season neither Angel Gomes or Tahith Chong seem to be given a look in. Both would strengthen our team IMO, Chong I was particularly impressed with when he played against us last season.

Would take Gomes in a heartbeat for the number 10 role but Chong would frustrate and divide fans more than VLP did, absolutely not what we need right now. Saying that, if we take him and Hamza Choudary on loan from Leicester we'd be more than halfway to creating a Supremes tribute act.

Saw Chong miss one for Utd, in Europe the other week, that even Kach would've been ashamed of.

I'd take a Mason Greenwood over Steve Mounié any day of the week. That's a bit of a crap comparison though. A) that's highly unlikely the level of EPL loan we're looking at and B) as much as I'm sure we'd find a place for him, it wouldn't be at the point of our front three, which is what we'd need if Campbell is going to be injured a lot of the time and Mounie is off. Rarely will a young lad be able to go straight into that role and excel.

Niko Hama Laine rumoured on soccer souls site. He surely can’t come to town he has only played 3 times for QPR we need someone more experienced than that.

Grant, Mooy, Kongolo, Diakhaby & Mbenza. Realistically, could we get £50m combined? If so we’d break even. £40m would be acceptable and a modest loss. If we invested half of that in the summer, spent wisely, I’m sure we’d be in far better shape than we are now.

I'm going to presume that's a spelling mistake as there is literally no situation I can see where it'll be worth it. We're making a loss with any player we sell, simple. Diakhaby and Mbenza stats are God awful and the club has made it clear they're not wanted. Milk as much out of their transfers as possible with silly extras like sell on clauses, first refusals and player swaps. I'm getting worried that there are literally no solid rumours of transfers yet

I'm getting worried that there are literally no solid rumours of transfers yet I wouldn’t want to sell Grant in the slightest but, if the club lose £30m selling Kongolo, Diakhaby & Mbenza whilst being offered the chance to recoup £20m of that in profit instantly by selling him, I can’t see him staying. Realistically, we could emerge from our relegation with a roughly balanced transfer fee spreadsheet. Given the car crash state of the squad can we justify having a c.£20m striker playing in a match day squad with 7 teenage apprentices?
