Potless better back the cowleys, not just loans and freebies. If there is players from the champ or below they want back them

The squad is threadbare, we need alot of players to come in.
Gk - send grabba back, play schofield or bring in another. They cant do any worse.
RB - need back up to simpson
Lb - need some quality in there. Brown has been way off since his injury
CB - need another one, ideally a starter, but stanks and schinds have been solid until today.
MC - send Chabs back, Hoggs legs are going, need to play obrien and bacuna more centrally.
AMC - seems clear pritch is leaving so need two in that position or bacuna to play there.
RW - Need a starter
LW - Need a starter.
Striker - Probably have 3 good options, Might sell one of them to bring someone else in.
We have 14 "first" team players and then we need 8 positions and send two back from loan, making us a squad of 20.
That would be some overhaul to get right in a january window.

He's had a lot more money and a lot more time than Wagner had to get a team promoted from the Championship, and still hasn't managed it. no he hasn't but he his a good manager Blokes spent pretty much £60m in his time at Bristol to get them where? He’s bang average

News coming out of Torquay today is that town are about to sign torquay utd striker Jamie reid providing they can reach personal terms If that is true then I despair of Town. I saw enough of him at Exeter to know he’ll never be good enough for the Championship, nowhere near. Ask yourself why he never cemented a starting spot at Exeter - ‘cos he’s just not good enough. 25-26 year old in the National League - that’s his level for God sake.

Today has once again shown that even some of our more seasoned players can’t cut it at this level. We need numerous signings and loans in preparation for our forthcoming relegation battle. Time for action Town, get it sorted!

Time for action Town, get it sorted! The loans will help out short term, but we need to be preparing the squad for next season as well as surviving so 4 or 5 permanent additions wouldn't go a miss.

I like how everyone is assuming that these loan signings are going to make a difference because they're coming from a Premier League side
We've got two already and they're not very good. It's to be hoped that Webb and the Cowleys have better judgement of youth players ability to handle Championship football than the numpties they replaced

Get off PH's back -if you have to blame someone look no further than Hoyle and Wagner.

We already have a squad full off kids. Do we really need more loans?
No one can criticise PH. That book needs to be thrown Hoyles way and at those who were working for him.

The Cowleys have worked miracles to get us to January out of the drop zone. The transfer window is now crucial. If it's as bad as the last two we are fooked.

Judgement will be passed on 31 January as to how successful this transfer window will be and this month is notoriously difficult to do business in but we desperately need 4/5 players of experience, as DC alluded to in his post match radio interview. Bare minimum I’d say is some real attacking intent in midfield, and we can send Chalobah back to help with this and free up a loan, followed by some decent wingers (have we actually got anybody on the books available to play who can be classed as an outright winger?) and an experienced LB and left-footed CB. If Mounie isn’t staying, a big, bustling centre forward also. All other positions that require some attention can be addressed in the summer or beyond.

We can only blame Phil if this window go wrong. Sounds like not much money coming in, if the problem 5 are going to go on loan. So I imagine loans and small fees will be the way we go now.

The squad of 13/14 players who have given their all the last few weeks I feel for. Today's result was horrendous but busy period in which most have played 3 fill games in a week.
Some as we know are not up to it but attitude and effort no complaints.
Having negativity around the club and training grounds isn't good, so for this group, just the 5 we need out will be a breath of fresh air. Let's add 2 or 3 experienced players and we will be fine

Interesting quotes from Cowley today. The mentions of PH show that he must have let known his despair at the car crash he inherited from DH:
"But we do have to help Phil. What we all have to remember here is Phil Hodgkinson has picked this up. The budget is bigger than probably we would like it to be [sic] so there is some work that has to be done.
"We want sustained success here so while we would all like to be able to be frivolous and just go out and spend money…I promise you, I could do that as well as my wife does when she goes to the shops.
"But it's about having a long term plan. The short term plan is to get to 50 points and to retain our place in this division, then from there it's about trying to be a top ten club, and then once we achieve then we can start to think bigger.
"There's a gradual process in doing that so we need the right players to help us with each stage of that journey and that's what we're working hard to do. It's as simple as that.
"But what you have to do, you have to make sure that you work really hard at it because what you can't do is what's happened to the club in the past and made some mistakes, because if you do they can be costly and if you do then they affect the progress of the football club and the happiness of the supporters. We don't want that.
"Phil has worked really hard since he's been at the club and unravelled some of this mess and then looked to try to find a way of moving forward. But you can't go from where we are here to the top of the Championship in one transfer window because it's not realistic.”

And he's trying to unravel the mess with one arm tied behind his back because the parachute payments are mostly accounted for due to the £50+million repayment to Dean

I hope we aren't going to be expecting the cowleys to only look in the lower divisions for 'gems'. If we need to spend some money then that's what we need to do. We cannot under any circumstances let ourselves be relegated from this position.

Our problem is that we have a Premier League standard management team and a Conference standard chairman. I have no faith that Phil will back them as they deserve. His record so far has been truly pathetic

His record so far has been truly pathetic What are you talking about? He's taken on a poisoned chalice due to the mistakes of his predecessor (a lot of which can be excused due to his illness). He's done alright so far given the circumstances. Getting Mooy to sign a contract was a masterstroke as was getting shut of Siewart early doors and getting a good management team in to replace him

Phil will of felt this result as much as the rest of us. I Really felt for DC in his post match interview, felt let down by the lads but also kept iluding to the fact we only have 13-14 senior players available.
These 2 will get it right but this month is crucial regarding our recruitment
