Would it really be so bad?
Major clear out in the summer? New manager, new players etc. See back mbenza etc.
Plus we will be able to resume hostilities with the likes of Oldham. The good news is Bradford are still shite so our local derby will be Donny Rovers. Always done shite against them but the keepmoat is a good stadium. Plus we'd get to play Sunderland who we've not played against for ages. Get to visit friendly places like Accrington and Lincoln.

We would be finished if we were in League one.

We'd be stuck with the same dross given the contracts currently in place. Hard to believe anyone is going to take many of these players off our hands.

We will not get back to this level in the next decade, if ever.

I don't think there is any doubt that nobody in their right minds will buy any of our players apart from Grant. Who looks like he has already made up his mind or even struck a deal with another club. We will be in League One with a huge wage bill and the parachute payments will be reduced but they are heading into Dean Hoyle's bank account anyway. Moreover, Covid-19 is going nowhere and there will probably be a second and third . According to the Lancet magazine some doctors are of the opinion that we fact two to five years more of this which will mean not crowds in football stadiums. With a bit of luck it might mean not only next season but for the next five years there will be no football. Just when I was looking forward to Leeds being tanked every week too.

Wasn't too long ago plenty on here couldn't wait for us to get relegated from the the premier league. Beating the likes of man u a couple of years ago to being gubbed in league one next season by the likes of Crewe Alexandra and Rochdale.

Of course it would be bloody bad, relegations never good especially to the lower leagues, still, some people couldnt wait to get out of the prem, wonder how eager they are to get out of the championship now, only consolation is its tight, its not over yet!

Well in response to Cowley's comments, Tom Jones would say "It's not unusual". Given the way they play at the moment and IMO since Cowleys came, I would agree. There was a slight lift after they came, but nowhere near enough. At this rate we'll be playing Bradford City in a year, and can then look forward to a visit to St James' Park.....Exeter.
Seriously though, when Cowleys eventually leave they'll move to another club. We'll be stuck where they leave us, with less money and trying to attract a manager to get us out of the mess just like all other clubs. Hopefully we'll get someone like Bournemouth did in Eddie Howe 10 years ago and take us back up the leagues...we'll also need an investor.

Would it be bad?
Did you watch the game tonight? We played a team that we would likely go down with if we were relegated. A team over 2 games we have barely laid a glove on. You think we can compete with them for promotion from league 1?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be bad, course it would. But at least we would win a handful of games in league 1. It would probably end in relegation to league 2. But at least we'd get friendly day outs at Harrogate and Barrow the season after.

I've been saying for a long time. We never play Coventry. Soon as they were promoted we were doomed.

Will there be a league 1 next season? A very good question but if there is Huddersfield certainly don't want to be in it. But if they are in it and it actually does take place then the Cowleys are the best hope of a swift return to The Championship.

In the current financial climate, relegation would be a disaster. The club still needs match day income and already we can see people wondering whether renewing their season ticket is worth it. If we go down, I can see numbers falling significantly, especially if we get relegated with a whimper.

Well it wouldn’t mean the end of the club but it would be disastrous. Taking away the fact nobody is getting into a football ground anytime soon, how many are actually up for watching League 1 football when it does eventually return? Of course we don’t have a divine right to stay or be in the Championship but not many expected us to drop 2 leagues consecutively. League 1? Not for me thanks.

Quite - see www.telegraph.co.uk/global-health/science-and-disease/resurgence-covid-19-around-world-tells-us-risk-second-/ . The likelihood is that infections will start to rise steadily, again, from October when the weather turns colder. It is not possible to social distance in a football stadium without cutting the capacity by 75% (see www.cbssports.com/general/news/texas-pro-sports-leagues-that-play-outdoors-allowed-to-return-with-25-percent-stadium-capacity/ for example) and even then how do you social distance the crowds that gather outside, internal toilets and concessions that are rammed at half-time etc? Even, in the unlikely event that next season starts in September with crowds there's no way that I can see that it won't be suspended again in the winter. (Sorry, the system replaces the word 'w a v e' with an emoticon in the 1st URL; can't see how to fix it)

Absolute shambles of a club at the moment. Just 3 years ago we had a distinct identity & great passion in the club, how has it all gone so wrong?
Dean Hoyles serious illness no doubt played a big part, but what about the rest of the senior management? The fans want to know who identified & sanctioned some of the worst signings in the history of football, costing a massive amount for a club our size. Even taking this into account and Dean wanting his investment back... why are we so skint after earning £250m+ in the prem for 2 seasons? We want answers. On a side note the likes of Pritchard & Grant can do one for me, arrogant overpaid tarts who represent everything wrong with modern football

He needs to take full responsibility. Oysten number 2!
