Is it time to scrap the scheme - by all means record purchases and build up points for when we're next in the Premiership, but go back to a first come first served basis for the time being

I don't think it make much difference to be frank, that said it serves a purpose for any (as unlikely as it appears at the moment - for many reasons) big games we may have. I don't think anyone who wants to get to a game will have much of an issue in the near future.

Unless we are challening at the top of league one then it's not really going to matter.
Fleetwood will probably sell out quickly but apart from that I can't see any other sell outs.
Just refine the scheme as the interest won't be high in league 1.

I seem to remember me having a similar conversation with my mates back in 1972 when we were wondering how we'd go on getting tickets for Old Trafford on our speedy return to the top flight. That went well

Don't understand the logic of scrapping the scheme. Surely whatever League we are in you simply adjust the points needed to attend. If the club anticipate little demand then start with a low figure (if at all) - if they perceive the demand will be high (and lets remember when football gets back to some sort of normal you could end up with very little away fans at games, if any at all) use the system. Just because we have this pandemic is no reason to wipe out peoples loyalty to watching town over the years!

Whatever will be will be, But I for one cannot wait to be able to have away trips with the lads all able to get a ticket without having to be in some sort of pyramid ranking scheme, Roll on the days of being able to attend an away game where all who want to go can, And nobody wanting a ticket for their 6 month old baby.

Then if it's needed (like Cheltenham away remember) it can be utilised. Scrapping it seems to be giving up.

Scrap the scheme, it was totally flawed anyway. crediting points back before the scheme was implemented? Rigged! Agree the bit about 6 month old babies too...

I would support 3 points for a home win, 4 for an away win, one for a draw. Point removed for a dive in the box. That would stop all the timewasting and cheating and see more goal attempts. Football is like jogging in molasses these days.

1 It's not just about buying a ticket, it's about friends with different priorities sitting apart, having to wait until everyone in a group has a ticket before booking travel. In short it creates unnecessary hassle.
2. Surely fans who built up points before the scheme was introduced have already had their loyalty rewarded many fold. ÂŁ100 season tickets for the Premier League, Priority for Premier League games etc. What more do they want /deserve?
3. If we are going to a priority scheme at least give our new /younger fans a chance to catch up. Start afresh from next season. What's unfair about that?

Given that there will be some form of social distancing when fans return I can see the number of away fans severely restricted in the short term if there will be any at all. So I would keep the scheme in place and if its not needed for a game simply don't use it. On a side issue we have all got used to watching games on ifollow etc so perhaps going forward it may well be that away fans will be able to use this option (for an enhanced fee) instead of attending games. Whilst I am sure near normality will happen sometime I don't think the Government will be keen on hoards of footy fans travelling up and down the country watching their teams.

Said on need report they expect 3 years of the virus popping its ugly head up with spikes in certain areas , football is going to really struggle for the foreseeable I think away fans will be a no go for a long time.

Does it really matter about not allowing away fans. A lot of our "home" supporters regularly attend home games from various regions of the country anyway.
