Bacuna Campbell Willock King Hogg O'Brien Toffolo Schindler Stearman Chalobah Lossl It's difficult to see where the goals are coming from... You could list 100 different line ups from our available squad and they would all be followed by "it's difficult to see where the goals are coming from" This is why a massive clear out and restart is required

There are some brave changes in there so here we go. A lot of people have been calling for Bacuna to come back in since his suspension as he can turn a game/score a goal and Grant to be dropped due to his "perceived" lack of interest. Lost trust in Bacuna. He loses his head in big moments. I do believe there is a great player in there. I have not seen it when it counts. Wait til he's been sent off a couple of times for stupidity like Hogg or Schindler

Tonight’s lineup:
1 GK 2 centre backs 1 full back 5 central midfielders 1 winger 1 striker
A starting XI that has 16 goals and 16 assists between them in 44 matches this season
Just 1 shot on target in 3 of the last 4 games
0 goals from open play since the resumption

Here is the theory. Brentford have Stoke and Barnsley left to play so Bilic must be thinking they really need to win tonight to keep them at bay. I believe WBA will be cagey for for 60 mins (like us) and then go for it near the end, we then bring ESR on to run and run at them and we get the goal that keeps us up or we get the point that keeps it in our hands.

Even when Grant, Mounie and ESR have played we don’t look like scoring so I’m not sure playing them would make any difference. We’re playing the 2nd best side in the league and we’re one of the worst sides in the league, this is the game where I can absolutely understand playing for 0-0, especially given our total lack of attacking threat.

My prediction: Cowley sets up for a 0-0, we concede early, make numerous like for like changes throughout the game, wonder why we have created nothing, listen to Cowley spout nonsense in his press conference.
Get the drinks in, it's going to be a long one.

Is there a reason why Cowley and Cowley will only play 4231?

I really hope the players haven't got the mentality of "we are already down, whats the point". Yes we are in the shit, yes we lack quality but at this exact moment in time surely to attempt to keep it tight at 0 0 has to be a preferred option. If we nick a goal and win we are safe, if we draw we are 4 points above bottom 3 (be it that they have games in hand) which, personally I would take right now.

The only thing in our favour is the amount of pressure that Brentford's form has put on them might just play on their nerves, this is a must win game for West Brom when not so long ago it was a matter of if they would finish top or second. We could rattle them a bit with the right attitude.

I'm expecting a thumping tonight, but I remember going to the Etihad towards the end of our first season in the Premier League thinking a 4-0 loss would be a good result.
Then after 20 minutes I started to realise we might escape a thumping. By half-time it was still 0-0 and I started to wonder if we could get a result. The second half was purgatory, constantly looking at my watch as the minutes crawled by. I started dividing the game into small sections, seeing if we could survive another five minutes without conceding. 60 mins went by, then 65, then 70. Eventually the game finished and we somehow we kept them out to get a result.
It won't be pleasant to watch, but I'm hoping for something similar tonight.

I fear this is going to be 90 mins of attack versus defence. We have pulled some incredible results out by holding out for 0-0 against Man City and then 1-1 against Chelsea, but im not sure these players have the bottle. I will watch until West Brom score, and that will do for me, we simply either have to hold for a 0-0 or score first

TBF Andy that team had more heart and belief in their team mates, the manager & the club. I hope your hopes are realised but really fear the worst.
