Piss poor by the sounds, watched on sky fortunately. Doesn’t surprise me unfortunately. Radio Leeds ridiculously biased. Surprised at oggy though. Can you imagine pope and whelan getting excited when town got promoted?! I think oggy has blotted his copy book. You watched on sky "fortunately"? Final whistle blows and a banner goes up across the top of the screen "Leeds are promoted". Cut to Dom Matteo.. Cut to Paul Robinson. Whether we like it or not we weren't the story last night. Ogden works for Radio Leeds. The story was Leeds. It wouldn't surprise me if more Leeds fans than town fans were listening on the FM frequency.. Yes it was irritating him going on about them but that's his job. Why can't our supporters ever enjoy anything? Last night might turn out to be as important a win as we've had in years and people are picking holes in Ogden. A guy who will be paid peanuts for commentating on our games and comparative to his peers is OK. And that is the problem. On our local radio station with our commentary team we should have been the story. Sky, 5 live, anything national Leeds west Brom is the story but our commentary team should have been covering us. If oggy was so passionate about Town as some on here claim, he couldn’t comment the way he did last night mentioning what the result meant to Leeds every 5 minutes and maybe twice mentioning what it meant to us and survival. If the situation were reversed Pope would do it. I can’t believe some who call themselves town fans think last night was ok or any of his commentaries on ifollow. Didn’t post this when we were loosing because it would have been discounted as that. Every game where you can see what he is commenting on he is awful and negative and pessimistic and neutral to the point of not painting a true picture from the town perspective. Why is that a problem, because other team listen to their team away from home even in defeat and can pick out the positives, we never can. I can guarantee if you listen to oggy you will think we were worse than we were.

It's Radio LEEDS. Broadcasting to the whole of west Yorkshire. Leeds got promoted last night. It was the story.. End of... Get over it and celebrate the fact we aren't in league one

Securing promotion to top flight will always trump avoiding relegation to league 1 as a story. Some people need to get over themselves and be happy with what we achieved in a huge game for us.

Had it been the other way around it wouldn't have happened, not a chance, that's my issue. Oggy is great imo, we all know about the Leeds bias at RL. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

I was mad as hell with Oggy’s Leeds comments last night. This morning , in perspective, I realise that he was broadcasting to West Yorkshire and not just to us so he can’t be biased and has to provide a balanced commentary. I’ll add to this, that I’m sure he is actually a Town fan. His wife and son attend all of our home games, they sit close to us.

During our promotion season, I always remember a female caller to Radio Leeds complaining that it was Huddersfield this and Town that. As she said, "This is supposed to be Radio Leeds... it's in the name for God's sake".

Huge overreaction on here to the comments last night. Need to move on - Oggy is Town through and through as far as commentary and opinion is concerned. Did anyone seriously think that it wouldn't become the Leeds United Show once the prospect of Albion NOT winning became a distinct possibility? I certainly didn't.

For what its worth I like him -it’s not easy but I think most times he gets it right-just my view. One weakness for me is is lack of straight talking to Town managers when they come out with post match crap... Completely agree. I don't have much of a problem with his commentary, but he needs to grow some bollocks and question the management in interviews to try get answers we want

Those avoiding the love in should skip the start of football focus. It's funny hearing Bamford giving the impression he thinks he'll be playing regularly in the Prem next season. If they go down that path they're doomed.

If they go down that path they're doomed. Well, he's not likely to give the impression that he thinks he'll struggle to get a regular game in the PL... I think he could score a few in the PL.

I like Oggy. What I have learned though (watching a game while listening to his commentary) is that when a Town players pass "is intercepted" it actually means it was a completely shite pass in the first place. UTT

Oggy is alright. The worst thing about him is his nonsense pronunciation of names.
Michael Hey-Fella, Na-Key Wells, Trevoh Cha-low-ba, Fray-sher Campbell... all bullshit.

If they go down that path they're doomed. He's not that different to Chris Wood to be fair...maybe slightly worse in front of goal but probably better as a defensive unit at corners etc. If they play a system that suits him (arguably they don't really do that today) then he'll be a long way from being one of their weaker links.

That may be why he always gives a complete description of the colour of the shirt, shorts and socks of each team. Never understood why he does that.. just filling airtime with random drivel maybe? Very much in the style of Henry ‘Blowers’ Blofeld. Paints a picture of the whole situation in ones mind. I like his commentary of our games. Gives me a bit of a comforting feeling akin to hearing the warm crackle of needle on vinyl. I have often seen him on the train over the years. He never seems to age. I agree in his post match interviews, the questions are normally safe and not very probing. BUT, after the Luton game, I thought he got more stuck in than normal. I think Danny must have been thinking “what the fucks happening here?”, as Oggy was asking some quite awkward stuff. So he does have it in him. He’s just too polite sometimes to really take his interviewees to task. TMS has to be the gold standard of commentating on anything other than the sport. I've zero interest in baking, but quite happily listened to Aggers being schooled on Dorset Knobs during the first Test, last week! A few years ago during his last Test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham City Transport named a new bus after Blowers purely on the basis that he always talked about the colourful buses running past the ground while on air!
