Said before the season started we would go down with this squad. they've worked wonders with the start they were given
they're not exactly my cup of tea style wise and have made questionable choices but great job they have done, as for me when they came in they wwere going to earn their crust next season getting us out of league 1

I second that.
They did it their way today, and I look forward to seeing them have a fresh start and a blank canvas for next season.
How many games head start did we give all the other teams?

Tonight was amazing, let’s not forget that. However, this team needs some major surgery. Once it’s had that, it then needs a management team to take them from securing their survival with 1 game left to mid table/top 10/play off push. Can the Cowley’s do that? I don’t know, no one does, but I’d be a hell of a lot more confident under other managers. The Cowley’s deserve the opportunity to sort it out and I’m sure they will, but I can’t honestly say I’d be surprised if we’re in the bottom 6/7 again next season. Plenty of changes to come though, so let’s hope it goes our way for once.

I really hope we can scrape some transfer kitty together for these guys as with this achievement they deserve a chance to mould the squad in their own vision and be properly backed. Well done lads.

After Wagner, I think I would always rather have an unorthodox management choice than appointing someone from the usual manager merry-go-round. A couple of PE teachers? Sounds good to me. NB. Siewert was not an unorthodox choice, after Wagner and Farke.

Congratulations to Messrs Cowley and Cowley. Took on a difficult task because of previous demotion, position in the league and personnel. Fulfilled the ask and now deserve the chance to have a full season and full support from the Board, playing staff and supporters.
Well done to all involved.

Well done lads.
Unravelled a mess that was being compiled a long time ago, no mean feat.

They’ve done what was asked of them now need a huge cull of this squad and get play players in who want to be here. A style of play the players are comfortable with so sign lads who fit into your preferred formation.Personally I couldn’t care less what it looks like,we need winning football if that’s kick and rush, bully boy tactics I don’t care. This club has been too good at losing for too long, not expecting promotion or even a tilt at the playoffs just hard graft and effort and hopefully we’ll win more than we lose.

I've been critical - no apologies. However, I have always maintained that I want them to stay and build their own squad.
As strange as it sounds, the last few weeks, which have been dire, will have done them good. They now know what life at the sharp end is like; an invaluable experience.
Onwards we go. Clear out what we can and recruit wisely. Sounds simple I know.
A great night for Town. UTT

Yes they were like for like but showed a bit of intent and an actual plan.

I for one have dished my fair share of criticism at the Cowleys over the last few games but let's not forget that when they came in we had 1 point from 10 games was it?
No team in championship history have ever survived from that position.
We have to all commend that achievement surely.

In the main I think their subs have been a strong point, I can usually understand them from either a game plan or change point of view.

Similarly, O'Brien had every right to go down under that challenge on the half way line leading up to the goal. Small shoots of optimism.

Really hope the style of play is down to circumstances. If we continue to play like this at the start of next season then they wont be given much time

We'd have all taken 51 points with a game still to go after our first 9 games.
Theyve done a great job despite inheriting a dispirited squad used to losing and hampered by having over £65m worth of signings not good enough to even start a game.
I look forward to seeing them build a team. The signings theyve made so far have been generally very good.

UTT I’ll hold my hands up I’ve been one of them, and I still can’t stand most of this squad i think they’ve been a disgrace if I’m honest. Fair play tonight though they deserve some praise but for me it still needs a huge clear out and this season hasn’t been anywhere near good enough. But hopefully it’s a fresh start.

Steep learning curve for the Cowleys and they’ll want to keep on learning. I’m confident they’ll do well. They need, and deserve, some backing now.

Very good job they've done. Be interesting to see if the takeover happens and if there's any money for them to finish their reshaping.

Before town they played decent stufff they will again with their squad. When Toffolo came in from nowhere he illustrated their ethos and for me the future of our club They have my support
