It usually is something petty. Someone tried to stab me 30 years ago on Trinity Street near the ambulance depot. I had not said a word to the bloke. I got lucky and ws not seriously injured. Minor cut on my hand thats all.
Feel terrible for the family he left behind.

Hopefully the fat, ginger wanker gets his just desserts in the prison showers.

Reading that, it was not "something petty". "Something petty" might have been that JS had spilled his pint or failed to hold a door open for him.
If this is as reported then it's over *nothing*. Totally unprovoked.
Hopefully he'll find it easier to "pull" in prison.

I have a problem with "manslaughter" charges by and large. If you and your thuggish mates hit someone a couple of times inside a pub, then spend the next hour or so plotting how to exact more damage and violence upon an innocent party then in my book that should be a murder charge. How can you say it was not pre-meditated? The defence would obviously argue they never intended that outcome. I say if you and your cronies spend time plotting a vicious assault on someone minding their own business and it results in their death - that's murder.

My understanding is that unless you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that they intended to end Jordan Sinnott's life, it ain't murder. It could be that they "only" wanted to have a fight. TBH that's probably the case. It's (potentially) not just a slap on the wrist though. Manslaughter convictions can lead to life imprisonment.

Feel so much sympathy to the Sinnott family, there lad was out on a night out trying to enjoy himself with his friends when these idiots who were jealous of some stranger they didn’t even know due to his looks decided to try and provoke a fight. Sorry but the court should take each case individually and if I was the judge they would serve 30 years plus in jail scum of the earth and cowards , throwing your fists at someone who doesn’t want to throw them back unbelievable.

They’d be given lethal injection if I was the judge. They can go ruck with the devil if they think they’re so tough.
