No presser no twitter 'terrier inbound' maybe we have changed our ethos to 'no gimmicks' which would be a huge positive. Didn't Laptops Direct sponsor Danny Cowley's sacking.

More "chiefs" to join him soon.
Looking forward to see how many "brave" indians follow him.
Seriously, he is highly regarded and obviously wants to run his own show.

He wants to play fast attacking football - with the players we have at the moment? I don't think so.

It's a thumbs up from the Alicante branch of the Huddersfield Town supporters who never go to a game group.

hopefully he abandons the 4-2-3-1. it worked for Wagner but since our first season in the premier league it has not worked at all.

After the continual cycle of sack appoint, sack, appoint it's hard to enthuse about the new guy, see how he does, big task ahead but I think it's the club attitude that's the issue here not that managers, small time thinking and tinpot. Phil is clearly hoping he has stumbled across the next Wagner but there is very little in guys previous record at first team level to suggest he's any good, first team in Cyprus!! The jury is out.

Thinks Leeds are back where they "belong".
Fuck him, hope he goes bust, but only after getting us promoted.

No presser no twitter 'terrier inbound' maybe we have changed our ethos to 'no gimmicks' which would be a huge positive. This was a really boring appointment. No betting market worth looking at, no rumours, no has-been managers likely to jump back on the merry-go-round, no "in the know" Tweets from Alan "the Cock" Nixon, no thread of 30 pages. Yawn! Maybe, just maybe the club are gonna start taking things seriously. I sincerely hope this leads to bigger and better things. We are here to compete not just happy to be here. And I've always wondered what chest wanking would feel like

At least they’ll know their roles and the whole team’s approach. That didn’t seem to be the case at any point this season.

Note he is "head coach" and not named as manager. Steered Angelos Epithemiou to safety in Cyprus so understands the level we function at. Anyway, I am disappointed he is not black, because black football managers lives matter (I am kneeling as I write this). If he is non-binary and transgender (identifying as a toaster or gender-blind) then I will forgive this aberration by the systemic racism that runs through football and our club. If he also "comes out" I will renew my season ticket. Welcome onboard...the circus rolls back in to town.

I understand the scepticism but we have to see how this chap is now supported. We could employ Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola but any successful team needs good players....let's see if we have a decent recruitment policy. NB: I use the word decent as the past 2 years has been somewhere between useless and lousy. Give Carlos the support he needs - let's remember he comes with the reputation as a good coach not a bl00dy miracle worker/magician. His appointment is only half the job. You've made one bold step Phil, what's the next?

Anyone heard any whispers on the level of compo paid for this signature? 35k After the favour we did Leeds last Friday (ie sorting out promotion for them) charging compensation for Carlos is typically ungrateful. But I like the sound of him. Very respectful in what he said back in March:

The one constant this club has is the negativity of some 'supporters' Aye I don’t think we’re alone in that but the whole club’s mentality has been far too negative under the Cowleys. How hard it is, what a battle. That comes through to the players. We need someone fresh to come in and tell everyone how good they can be- like Wagner did. I fell Leigh Bromby’s comments tell us a lot reading between the lines. They’re not all bad players at Town not at all. They’ve been badly damaged by Siewert and not really helped all that much by Cowleys. The experienced players seemed to appreciate their efforts at leadership but they were also players who they gave contracts to. With so many young players this is a smart and timely appointment imo. Someone who can nurture Brown, O Brien, Bacuna even Moonie dare I say.
