We need Illingworth and Gregory back sponsoring HTTV Been downhill since they left. Have it on good authority Illingworth, Gregory, Wilson and Webber picked the team during our promotion season.

San Siro in 3. RIP Scoffa. Datm is in need of his positivity. To be fair it was Jimmymac's phrase that Jimmymac sits 3 seats behind everybody.

Comes across very, very well in my opinion. Definitely see parallels with Wagner and when Wagner joined! Exciting times. Looking forward to further announcements on the coaching team and all the transfer news.

Someone I know, who could have been a mate of mine if he didn't support Leeds, just messaged me: "Corberan was a brilliant coach by all accounts so, who knows, we might be playing each other the season after next!" I replied: "Yes - in the Championship".

Some softball questions as usual in the interview but he speaks well and I hope he is a success.

Comes across well - ultimately needs backing Odd (deliberate) question asked to him re word to effect “We have strong links with our academy, 7 players on the verge of the first team....” 1. We got rid of the academy that produced (some of) these players they refer to (others were taken from other academies) 2. I’m not sure they are on the verge of the first team - Edmonds Green aside and obviously O’Brien. Strong hopes for High / Daly but I’d not suggest that they were on the verge of the first team just yet

Impressive interview. We want to “dominate” and have one idea about how we play. That sounds great. Sod adapting to the opposition all the time.

Dont think it's the right appointment but I will give him my full backing. Till his first loss, then I will slag him off again.

Is any of that cynical sarcasm really required? You're a bit better than that mate. Not impressed fella. The club is an out and out joke. Why would Coberan leave a season in the Prem for a kick-off? I really hope he does the business....to be honest though a robot can coach, they generally do...what I want is a man who finds the diamonds. ? bit harsh otium good luck to him and wish him well

Great interview Like this bit “There are clubs that are recognised throughout the football world, Huddersfield is one of these clubs”. Lets stick with this attitude rather than hiding behind how small we 'are'. Also enjoyed him calling Phil The President

Strong hopes for High / Daly but I’d not suggest that they were on the verge of the first team just yet Pushing this using the Academy kids.... not sure they are ready for the first team. Most of them haven't even had a successful loan. If he can turn 7 of them into first XI starters in 3 weeks then he's better than Bielsa. Think it could be a long year next season if we don't see significant investment in the first team. I'd run it as a quota system. Having progressively more academy players/u21s in the squad of 22 each year. Starting with say 3 and adding 1 per year until we reach 5 or 6. Let's be honest, we arent going to win anything with Kids. I hope Phil is planning on opening his wallet and backing him like we did wagner or his spell incharge may be pretty brief. Might be worth keeping the cowleys on the payroll for when we need them in October if Big Phil doesn't put his money where his mouth is.

Having listened to that I like the cut of his jib to be honest. He is very engaging and you can see why younger players in particular would learn a lot from his methods.
Hopefully his experience and contacts can help us attain some good loanees. City are the obvious one, with Leeds getting Harrison and the exciting looking Poveda from there, and maybe also Arsenal with the Arteta/Spanish connection...Smith-Rowe again? Please?

Anyone heard any whispers on the level of compo paid for this signature? WE get him, his attacking football and his knowledge of what it takes in this division - they get Karlan Grant....

Great interview Like this bit “There are clubs that are recognised throughout the football world, Huddersfield is one of these clubs”. Lets stick with this attitude rather than hiding behind how small we 'are'. Also enjoyed him calling Phil The President Could not agree more. Footballers are simple beings in the main. They need someone to believe in them, convince them how good they can be through effective coaching, then organise and select them in a way that allows them to perform their best on a regular basis. I’m optimistic a fresh approach and some canny off season business can give us a good chance to do well next season. That negativity filters through to the players so that they’re expecting a real tough game against f**king Luton Town and didn’t it show.

This guy is class. Everything I’ve said about him these last few days I feel totally vindicated. It’s an insult to the man to even say the S word in his presence by way of comparison!
Carlos sounds like a leader to me!

It’s going to come down to players. If he’s expecting the current squad to play this attacking style we are doomed.
My hope is he and his team have some contacts in Spain and have managed to finds 3 gems desperate for a crack in England.

He "knows our squad" yet in the same sentence says that's why he's happy to be here... The man is clearly insane! In all seriousness, he comes across as an ambitious and knowledgeable coach. He might even get a tune out of Diabenza... UTT

It does not help when the people choosing them were not chosen. When all said and done good luck to the chap...hey, if he is good enough for Bielsa and Guardiola and Phil and Deano et al... who am I to quibble? My bet is a dud based on my experience....lets see.

Good luck to Carlos. There is a demanding close season in prospect, combining offloading players, including some big earners and signing new ones, including, no doubt, loan players. Let's hope that he, and his team, are given a proper base to work from and we don't make a proper Charlie of him.
