No doubt the new kits will be announced at some random venue like castle hill with 3 new signings wearing them. What, you mean the iconic Huddersfield landmark that's on the clubs ? How random. AND with three new signings! Not for me, thanks. Just saying we waste time for some promotion video. For once, can't we just do things normally after the last 2 seasons. And it's not about being ungrateful at all, it's just personally I would just rather us announce things as they happen and not delay it for a video we actually don't care about

The kit launches are beyond tedious. Remember when tiny bits were revealed a day at a time ... as if we wouldn’t be able to take the sight of the full thing all in at once. Behold, it’s a yellow polyester top by Puma with black piping to resemble the preferred smoking method of famous Town fan Harold Wilson ... but unlike Harold’s bad habit, the materials used in this garment are fully breathable and unlike Harold streamlined for top athletic performance, etc., etc.
Then they waited for Kongolo to sign to soften the impact of unveiling the new dog badge.
And hired a cinema for Kachunga to be unveiled one year.
The big shirts on the train station was probably the best, even if the shirts weren’t.
Yes, I am moaning and ranting for the sake of it ...

And it's not about being ungrateful at all, it's just personally I would just rather us announce things as they happen and not delay it for a video we actually don't care about That's why you're probably not in marketing, then. The suspense, the big unveil, it generates interest whether people like it or not and you will tune in no matter. But even if that is the clubs preference, it would suggest that everything is hand and progressing, wouldn't it? Which is a positive thing. And this 'normality' you refer to, what is that? Because I've seen all manner of kit launches from other clubs. Which generates interest (I'm an example because I've seen them) whether for good or bad. And that's what we have to do as a small club in a catchment of many other clubs, some of them large (some very large). We need sales and revenue more than ever, we also now have an international audience (albeit small) for whom this is exciting and we need to appeal to. So we can't just have the club shop manager throw up the doors one day and there it is. And the players aint there to model it! It may not be to your taste (or others equally having a pop), but it is to some - especially kids. So just accept it and stop being so negative even about positive news that is theoretical. This hyper-reactive, info-binge, 'everything now' culture is why from the outside we maybe look ungrateful. Let's just wait and see, be patient. If it doesn't materialise, then we can be critical. But things don't just happen overnight. Chill-out everyone.

For once, I would just like things announced as they happen. Over the years some of the unveilings have been good and have given us something to get excited about. Just for this pre season though, a bit of normality and basics with annoincements

The Umbro one with squares inside the stripes from memory.

Surely the best was when they put up a picture of Mounie in the new kit on the store website, before he was announced. A complete administrative balls-up. And then the club had the cheek to say they'd been hacked when the image made it on to social media.

It was a bit like the Paddy Power stunt though and backfired, as most sane people assumed it was a joke and the proper kit would be unveiled later! Sadly it was the actual one.

Love last seasons kits, first time I’d bought a shirt in well over 15 years. Couldn’t get the away one as out of stock.
Must be a slow week if folk on here are complaining about the giant shirts outside the train station. Come on; we had just been promoted to the PL and it was a unique way to show the shirts off. Quite novel I thought.

Quite novel I thought. Agree with this. After the last 2 years I’ll take anything remotely positive coming out of the club. It’s obvious that the new shirt will be delayed due to the club looking for a sponsor - something that presumably couldn’t take place until we were sure of staying in the Championship.

Some kid from Turkey was wearing this earlier, his dad has since deleted the tweet. Not sure if the kits are made there? Great kit launch if it's this.

That's a good idea actually if we're struggling for a sponsor. If we as fans offered up say £10 each and we put the foundation logo on the front. I'd pay £10 not to have a gambling sponsor. I bet you wouldn't.

I don't think there's much of a market for knock off town shirts!
Almost certainly that isn't it. Quite like it tbh.

Last seasons kit was made in Bangladesh so doubt operations have moved to Turkey..
Interesting story unfolding though.
Never been a fan of the wider stripe so it's a no for me...

Or his dad has bought a plain shirt and shoved the badge on and saved a fortune.
I really hope that isn't the kit with such big stripes.

It looks authentic to me- the badge and umbro logo are in the right place, the colour is the same as last season, and it doesn't look like umbro's standard teamwear. The real thing will probably have narrower stripes though, kids shirts use the same fabric as adults shirts to save on costs so end up having wider stripes on them

My daughter's shirts have the stripes in the same proportion as mine. B) The lad in the picture looks to be wearing an adult shirt, look at the length of the sleeves.

Disgrace if this is true, it’s exactly the same as last seasons shirt!
Well, it doesn’t have the black down the side of the stripes and the little strips of the Umbro logo aren’t on anymore. The sleeves are blue and not white and I guess the stripes are bigger this time with a different collar, but seriously, apart from everything that is different it’s EXACTLY the same!
