That was some way to bottle a game after looking like they were strolling to victory

You could see it coming throughout the last 15 minutes. Very poor defensively.

The winning point by Luke Gale of all People. Now what gets me is that was suppose to be an home game for the Giants played at Leeds against Leeds but no excuse for that woeful collapse, that was equivalent of being 4-0 up at football and losing 5-4 to an injury time goal. That is not the first time this season they have gone to pieces.

That was one of the biggest capitulations I've seen, if not the biggest. Leeds were down to 12 men when it started! The Giants were out of the blocks and flying into tackles. Makes you wonder if they are gassing out after going at it harder than the oppo to start.

People who actively take joy in the Giants losing are extremely fucking weird Yeah, because nobody who supports Town lives in Dewsbury, Batley, Halifax or loads of other RL towns, do they? Or maybe they just don't give a fuck about RL, and how Ken screwed over the club means there's no love lost.

That was shocking from the Giants, Leeds did not win it, Giants lost it big time. Time for a big clear out at the Giants starting with the manager.

Huddersfield is my home town and I want them to win at everything, even if it mean's tiddlywinks or hide and seek.

I don't really get the "golden point" thing? It feels like you should get a point for drawing at full time, and then the golden point is the extra point awarded if you can go out and win it in this extra 5 mins each way period?
Hell of a game though - I'm not a massive RL fan, but I do watch a Giants match if its televised and I'm around. I know the scrums have been removed for another reason entirely, but the whole game seemed to flow much quicker than usual as a result, I wonder if they'll consider making that a permanent change.
Quite amusing on the fan cam thing to see one Leeds fan storming off when the game seemed over with 15mins or whatever to go, and his wife calling him back...its kind of difficult to leave early in disgust when you're already at home! He came back and changed his tune for that last few minutes though!!!

They've had a big clear out - and thats why they're sitting joint top of the table after 6 six games, having fielded a load of youngsters who look like they're going to go to look better and better. Its an incredible turn around from where they finished last season.

Bullshit. No person on this planet would risk £33k for £330. Wasn't necessarily the same person who laid it all but bets are laid at 1000-1 ON on betfair 1.01 is the lowest on Betfair....and most matches have this trade near the conclusion. That's 1/100 Fartown getting dicked today was probably the equivalent of a football team 4-0 up with 30 minutes to play and drawing 4-4.

People who actively take joy in the Giants losing are extremely fucking weird Why? What is the reason to hate the team and wish failure on them? The players or fans have never wronged any of you. It’s just fucking daft. Probably didn’t even watch the game or like rugby but when the result comes in they’re jumping for joy at a Leeds victory??? As I said, highly weird.

Personally have no feeling either way but think this goes back to when Ken Davey was in control of both clubs. Jacko had to run Town on a shoestring and virtually plead for every penny yet spending money never seemed to be a problem to the Giants.

Probably didn’t even watch the game or like rugby but when the result comes in they’re jumping for joy at a Leeds victory??? As I said, highly weird. Regarding your first point you could say that about any team in the world. Why have rivals in football? Chances are most of us have never been "wronged" by Leeds, Bradford, Sheff Wed players or fans etc.. so is it daft to have a rivalry with them? Should Everton fans celebrate Liverpool winning the league because they're from the same city? Or Rangers fans celebrate Celtic winning yesterday because they're both from Glasgow? I think it's weird to assume that just because someone supports Huddersfield Town they should support Fartown. What if they support another Rugby team? What if they have been "wronged" by a player or fan of Fartown? What if they aren't from Huddersfield? What if they want the rugby team to disappear so the football club can have their own stadium? There's a million reasons why someone would support one not the other, it's weird to assume everyone should be just like you.

Probably didn’t even watch the game or like rugby but when the result comes in they’re jumping for joy at a Leeds victory??? As I said, highly weird. I don't hate the Giants, or anything/anyone to do with them. I don't wish failure on them. I watched the game, and I like rugby, but I didn't jump for joy at their defeat. It was good sporting drama, and I admit it did make me smile at their defeat - but it was also disappointing that it had to be a Leeds team who beat them. If that makes me 'weird' then so be it. Huddersfield isn't my rugby team - it's Dewsbury where I lived for twenty years. I have several mates who have played for them, and I now even work with a former player of theirs. Fartown/Giants are/were the enemy when I used to physically watch them (albeit not as much as them from over the hill, Batley). Ill thought out, all encompassing, comments about people who may have different views to your own ideal is microaggression and not really welcome. It takes all sorts in this world - even you, and me
