Unless we are signing Smith Rowe to play left side and someone equally as exciting to play on the opposite side it’s going to be a long season.
No matter the brand of football, it’s tedious without goals.

Just have to agree to disagree.I take the points I just personally feel under this coach it will improve at the top end of the pitch. To what extent it improves I don’t know but without wishing to rile anyone I’m willing to wait and see. I’m not moronic enough to think we will all of a sudden be contending for playoffs or anything just personally feel we will continually improve over the course of the season.

I totally agree. We needed a squad overhaul in the summer which hasn't happened. Our front line options are embarrassing. We need strengthening across the front three and some creativity in midfield but it just isn't going to happen I'm afraid Just exactly how much cash do you think we have? Do you believe that the virus-induced lack of income should not inhibit us? What about the players on high wages that we cannot move out? You've only to look as far as Pritchard who is actively seeking a move but can't find any club who will pay even half of his current wages. In my opinion, your point of view is ruinous.

How many defenders do they want? I'll be happy if he goes, as it should at least remove a financial burden from the club in terms of future (massive) wages and payments to Monaco.

I said what was needed, not what had to happen. I accept that Covid has had an impact on finances but it has on every football club. We have parachute payments to help cover the wages of the Pritchards and Diakhabys etc. If we have used the parachute payments for other things then that's just bad financial management. After selling Sobhi, Mounie, hadji and received another wedge from the Billing deal are you saying we cant afford to bring in a couple of good loan players to prevent yet another relegation battle? We've only used 1 loan. If we cant afford transfer fees surely we can afford a couple of loans. After all the club are saying we are not in financial trouble

I didn’t want us to go spending millions, Joe Average on a free from Wigan or Charlton to play wide and a couple of Premier League loans. As it is we simply don’t have enough players. It’s been done to death but we have been chasing dead money with Diabenza. A settlement to get them out on a free should have happened months and months ago.

Hoping for 2 out and 3 in before Friday deadline. Great news, hopefully the obvious 2 out in Grant and Kongolo. Then 2 wingers and a striker in.

Blimey. Sounds very seedy. Spanish coach takes 16 year old up the A road. It does seem a little Grubby.

Hoping for 2 out and 3 in before Friday deadline. That would make it a very good window. Obviously the guess is Grant & Kongolo (or Pritchard) out, so we'd want at least 2 decent players in and 2 out of the 3 incoming being potential goal sources.

Perhaps we could offer them a buy 1 get 2 free deal and send them Diakhaby and Mbenza? And have them cancel any proposed deal ? I think not...

Hoping for 2 out and 3 in before Friday deadline. Wonder if one could be Smith Rowe again? Be interesting to see him under an attacking manager and see if he could produce more often than the odd 20 mins here and there under the Rons

A decent number 10, a wide man and an alternative centre forward and the squad is looking really promising 🤞🤞🤞

The only reason ESR had limited game time was on Arsenal's insistence and one of the reasons they allowed him to come to Town. They didn't want him to be over used and picking up a recurrannce of the serious injury he sustained at RB Leipzig. They may want similar assurances this time around as he has been injured again the start of this season. Whether we would be happy with that and whether they want him to be in another relegation battle is another matter.

Being without our wingers wouldn't weaken the squad now would it. They are useless and on serious money. I dont think we could give Diakhaby and Mbenza away if we tried

Surely that would depend on who the 3 are? I guess you didn't bother reading the second sentence then! By definition, any attacking player is a potential goal threat but until you know who the players are you couldn't have a clue if it's a good window or not.
