Latest twitter rumours suggest Burnley are back in for O’Brien. Must stress these are ‘rumours’, but one worth watching maybe Sold the silver, no-one wants the brass, so its time to sell the gold.

We dont score enough goals all over the pitch, sadly, 3 new players arent going to make us free scoring, especially when you consider the one we know about has 5 goals in 70 games. Its going to be a long season of sneaking 1-0's or 1-1's. Maybe we are using moneyball to target the underrated and undervalued defence as our strategy... but then we stick hamer in the net. I remember us sneaking a lot of 1 goal margin wins in the 2016/7 season. Awfully weird that nobody gave much of a shit about that back then, given that some seem to feel that that approach will definitely send us down this season. Short memory. Wells was getting dogs abuse left right and centre for not been prolific and there was clamour for another striker. We had one signing fall through in January window (think he was German but cant recall who) and ended up with a late signing of Super Coll. And all ended happily.

It'd take a huge offer for us to consider it. Unless the player has had his head turned. You would think we would be asking over 10 million for him, Maybe 15M. I think we would sell him for those figures, i doubt Burnley would want to deal much above 5-8.

Must stress these are ‘rumours’, but one worth watching maybe Would be the most Huddersfield Town thing ever Really good player and it would be a great move for the lad. For me Burnley would need to part with 8-10 million and loan him back for the season. Can see it happening at some point, just depends when. UTT.

It will be abit of a nothing season, offer the fans nothing and they will offer nothing back. The clubs worried about Covid and the lack of supporters, yet they seem to want to push the supporters away with dour football, dour communication and a dour entertainment product. 11000 season tickets will be a good effort next season, The lack of interest in the closed club at the moment is staggering, Attendances will be down around 10-14k next year i reckon, without some major changes in recruitment, playing style and communication. Dour football ? That was last season under the Rons not this under Carlos

Latest twitter rumours suggest Burnley are back in for O’Brien. Must stress these are ‘rumours’, but one worth watching maybe Given Dyche spends fifty percent of his time defending the indefensible and the other fifty whingeing and whining that he's got no money to spend, I don't see this happening at all. Well not unless they're going for a "Covid deal" and spreading the payments over 25 years. Also going on Dyches players all being whiter than white (😉) why would he want someone who, when he gets in and around the box, goes down quicker than Katie Price 🤔

I wouldn't touch Burnley with a barge pole if I were O'Brien. Reductive style of play, twat of a manager but the only reason they're in the league considering their squad, and problems between him and he owners who are skint in the first place. If Sheffield United turn it around this season and are still interested that'd be a much better move for him, he'd fit in their midfield very well.
I think if we're still down near the bottom this season and he keeps improving, this'll be his last season with us

A great sarcastic response to my comment but the window shuts tomorrow and we have been linked with no one who can score a goal. All about saving money as we don't know what the future will hold..... Well i can assure you it will be League 1 and administration if we don't sign some actual quality. I didn’t realise we were supposed to let every club know who we were after?? Just cos it’s not on social media we are linked to someone doesn’t mean that that they’re not doing anything behind the scenes, just wait !

Apparently it's £1 mil loan fee plus full wages so around £3 mil in total. Pretty silly money either way just to borrow a player.

Makes me a little depressed about kongolo I remember being on holiday when we signed him permanently and thought what a coup really intention from the club shown. Goes down as one of the worst signings for money and attitude or return product. Yes I was at the brizzle game too. What a sad memory of what should have been the best defender in this league

Wilson has done f**k all to be on that. it was only 18 mths ago that the likes of Eriksen and Alli weren't on much more than that. Jesus Christ, these young lads must have some outstanding agents.

Last time he played in the championship he scored 15 and assisted 3. £5m is a lot of money but if you bought a player of his quality you would pay £15m-20m without wages, so probably £4-5m per season before wages. A midfield of Wilson Eiting and O’Brien/Hogg would be the best in the Championship.
